Seems to me that this last Republican congress was the
absolute worst of the worst.
What's worse than anything any Democrat ever did, or even
any past Republican?
The entire GOP leadership of the house being in on the
scandal, actively assisting the cover-up.
It's one thing to claim that anything one politician does taints
his whole party, but it's quite another when the entire party
(or at least all the leadership) did play a role.
And, yes, we saw just that in the Foley scandal... and the
Tom Delay scandal... we even saw them protecting Duke
Cunningham.
And then, after the GOP lost control of the congress, we
saw the Whitehouse actively trying to squash investigations
by firing Federal prosecutors.
It's truly sick.
