Apparently they picketed City Hall:
A Battle Cry invitation to teenagers made plain the symbolism
of gathering in San Francisco for a pre-event rally at "the
very City Hall steps where several months ago, gay marriages
were celebrated for all the world to see."
Same-sex marriage "is another sign of the end of times," said
Sherilyn David, referring to the apocalypse that some
fundamentalist Christians believe is foretold in
Scripture.
State Assemblyman Mark Leno said that while there are few
fundamentalists, "they're loud, they're obnoxious, they're disgusting,
and they should get out of San Francisco." Leno's consitutents
agreed. In typical San Francisco style, the picketers were picketed
by some of the city's more colorful characters:
The police kept the groups separated just in case some of the teenagers
got turned on by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. :-) The bigots did
not look happy:
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors condemned the organizers as
well due to their attempt to "negatively influence the politics of
America's most tolerant and progressive city."

Yes, you will be a delighted homosexual, no doubt, when you reach the
point at which "If you had an many dicks sticking out of you as you
have had stuck in you you'd look like a giant porcupine." A state said

The SF city hall is a symbol of gay and Lesbian rights and hopes.

I don't know about that, but I have some information about the doorway to
heaven.
I visited the Mormon temple in the DC metro area, before it was officially
commissioned. When you first enter, IIRC, you approach a credentials desk.
As you have your credentials checked, you can contemplate a mural which
shows the second coming of Jesus. In the background are various DC
monuments, e.g., the Washington Monument.
This tells me the doorway to heaven is at about 12 o'clock on I-695, the
Capital Beltway.
