The video isn't funny and neither are you. Maybe it is just that I am past
that style of humor. My list of things not funny also include:
The movie "Jackass"
Seinfeld
Woody Allen
The later episodes of "Ren and Stimpy"
Family Guy
There is more but I think you get the idea.

OK, I agree on Jackass and Ren and Stimpy. I suppose that next you're
going to tell me that you don't like southpark, or beavis and butthead?
And how can you not find Woody Allen at least a little bit funny.

Once upon a time in alt.atheism, dear sweet Bob (blah@blahhhh.com) made
the light shine upon us with this:

Some people just don't appreciate banana humor.

Like the one where Adam West hands Quagmire a banana. "What's this for?"
"You'll know when the time comes."
So he's running for his life a few scenes later, and turns around and
throws the banana at his assailant. They both stop and stare at it as it
sits there on the floor.
Classic Family Guy.

What mind-boggling idiocy. I'm ashamed to be on the same planet as
that idiot.

But ya gotta admit, it's funny as hell.

It is pathetic, sad, and moronic as well as many other things but
funny it is not.

Oh come on.

"Behold, the atheist's nightmare!" (Holds up banana.)

Comedy gold!

Then Kurt Ca-moron trying not to crack up at all the phallic double
entendre?

Lighten up, people!

The video isn't funny and neither are you. Maybe it is just that I am
past that style of humor. My list of things not funny also include:

The movie "Jackass"
Seinfeld
Woody Allen
The later episodes of "Ren and Stimpy"
Family Guy

^^^^^^^^^^

OK, humor is definitely gone for you. I'm so sorry.

There is more but I think you get the idea.

What about the Three Stooges?

funny includes:

3 Stooges
Marx Brothers
George Carlin
Robin Williams
Dave Barry
Simpsons
Bugs Bunny, Daffy, Tweety, etc.
the list goes on.

How about Mystery Science Theater 3000?

Priceless! I miss that show :(

Wouldn't it be cool to take the MST3K concept and apply it to the huge
variety of moronic religious shows, including CBNs "family programming",
cartoons, news broadcasts, etc? Maybe we could start with "Way of the
Master" and branch out from there.

The new working title of the show would be the "Way of the Masturbator"
with Ray, "banana boy" Comfort.

That totally hit's a note with me. I would love being Servo making
cracks about a Dobson or Van Impe broadcast. No rehearsal or script
needed.
Let's start with 'Left Behind and a Banana'.
Christian - "This banana is proof of Intelligent design!'
Servo - 'But it's illegal in Texas.'

We could even use it wirh National Geographic's obvious Judeo-Christian
programs too.
I doubt you could get Mike Nelson to help write it though.

Or those discovery and history channel shows that are really just
religious pandering, dressed up in the trappings of a "documentary".

I doubt you could get Mike Nelson to help write it though.

Admittedly, good comedy writing is harder than it seems. But I think we
would want a different vibe anyway. Instead of doing one whole, long
show, or boring stuff on the "satellite of love", we would probably just
do little clips of TV shows. We'd probably develop nicknames and catch
phrases for all the religious types. I am planning on taking a post-
production film class here one of these semesters, when I get the time.
