Object: Headline: president rebuffed
The headline in the Washington Post yesterday said that Bush was rebuffed by
the courts in the Schiavo case.
It's good because the courts must realize he could use some more polish.

It's because he couldn't furnish them with a valid argument.
Hopefully we can put the issue to bed and end the armchair
quarterbacking. No matter how many times Shrub and others
table this law for their own vanity, or he gets new arguments
from his cabinet, the SC will put it in the toilet where it belongs.

OK, so Bush isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but you don't have to
bring Pollocks into this.

I thot pollocks was a kind of fish. If you mean Polacks that would be Polish
with a capital 'P'. What I meant to imply was that Bush could be more
polished, not more Polish although now that you mention it, I can't decide
whether that would be an improvement or a detriment to him, so I guess it
depends on what sort of Polish. In the TV series "The Winds of War one of
the characters said: "There are two kinds of Polacks, good Polacks, and
very, very bad Polacks." I'm just quoting The Winds of War TV series
character; I obviously know very little about Polacks and even less about
pollock, the fish that they make artificial king crab leg meant out of.
Actually the Winds of War should have been named the Windbags of War.
There's a truth in that somewhere.
