Hebrews 4: 7-10. 6-12-2007. |
Jesus, Compassionate High Priest.
In the days when he was in the flesh, he offered prayers and
supplications with loud cries and tears to the one who was able to
save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Son
though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered; and when he
was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all
who obey him, declared by God high priest according to the order of
Melchizedek.

Wrong again.
Reality vs The Padre 6-12-2007
The passage quoted below is Hebrews 5. You're losin' it, padre.
What little there is left, that is.
Jesus, Compassionate High Priest.
In the days when he was in the flesh, he offered prayers and
supplications with loud cries and tears to the one who was able to
save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice,
saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my
God, why hast thou forsaken me?
-- Matthew 27:46
Son
though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered; and when he
was made perfect, ...
So Christ started out less than perfect. Another good indication
that Christ was not divine.
...he became the source of eternal salvation for all
who obey him, declared by God high priest according to the order of
Melchizedek.
Uh huh. That would be the same god that did not hear Christ's
plea to be spared.
Also read:
Matthew 5: 13-16.
2 Corinthians 1: 18-22.
Psalm 119: 129-133, 135.
Couldn't be bothered.
Regards,
Josef

Wait a minute! That's not right. The way I heard it was:
In the days when he was in the flesh, he danced around the fire pit in a
loin cloth with loud cries and tears to the one who was able to
save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Son
though he was, he learned to make potients from eye of newt, snake oil and
tree bark; and when he
was made perfect in his own opinion, he became the source of eternal
starvation for all
who obey him, declared by himself high priest according to the order of his
imagination.
There, that's better.
