After finding out last night that our baby is indeed going to be a girl,
I went to sleep. This morning at around 6:15 am I checked Heidi's official Web
site

but did not see anything new about this subject there. Then I posted my
message "Heidi Klum to have a girl!" in the Newsgroups at around 7:10 am.
At 8:00 am I checked Heidi's Web site again and by now she had posted the
link to the Cologne "Express" article that confirms that our baby is a girl to
be named Helene:

gemacht. Doch insgeheim scheint Heidi sich doch ein Mädchen gewünscht zu
haben. Denn schon im September, als das Babyglück noch in den Sternen stand,
vertraute sie EXPRESS an, dass sie für weiblichen Nachwuchs schon einen Namen
parat hätte: „Helene wie meine Oma, die ich sehr geliebt habe.“
Helene. Das müsste auch in den Ohren des werdenden Vaters Flavio Briatore
„bellissimo“ klingen. „Elena“ würde er sein Töchterchen dann nennen,
denn das ist der italienische Name für Helene. Ein süßes Mädchen, das
einmal so schön wird wie seine strahlende Mama.
Auch Heidis Mutter Erna Klum wünschte sich seit langem eine Enkelin. Warum?
Weil auf dem Dachboden in Bergisch Gladbach noch ein wahrer Baby-Schatz liegt:
All die alten Puppen nämlich, mit denen Heidi spielte, als sie noch ein Kind

Bergisch Gladbach happy also. Well, in secret it seems that Heidi had wished
for herself to have a girl. Because already in September, when the baby's
fortune was still in the stars, she had confided to EXPRESS that she had a name
ready for female offspring: "Helene, like my grandma, that I loved dearly."
Helene. This should also sound "bellissimo" (very beautiful) to the ears
of the father-to-be Flavio Briatore. Then he would call his little daughter
"Elena", because that is the Italian version of "Helene". (Kansan's comment:

Heidi's mother, Erna Klum, had wished for a long time for a girl Angel,
