Heidi Klum negotiates with Playboy: 11,000 Virgins |
Our Lady Heidi Klum said the following about her dealings with "Playboy"
magazine:
http://entertainment.msn.com/news/article.aspx?news=135376&artp=ah
From "Access Hollywood":
No Klum in Full Bloom?
The November issue of Playboy features actress Darryl Hannah, who appears in
Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill." Supermodel Heidi Klum was also set to appear
in the publication, but then talks broke down. Heidi told Access Hollywood's
Billy Bush why she pulled out.
"It has got to be done in a way that I want to do it," revealed Heidi. "I want
to do it artsy and with humor, and I want to show that it's me in the way that
I want it to be seen."
The shoot went bust when Heidi and Playboy couldn't come to terms about her
posing for the magazine.
"Is it true that it broke down because you wanted a black and white cover?"
Billy wanted to know. "No, it's not only that," said Heidi. "They said that
there were a few little things here and there, but I can't tell you everything.
I don't really know how everybody knows all this to begin with."
"You want it to look artsy and my contention is that this is Playboy and you
can do an artsy black and white nude photo just like Katarina Witt," said
Billy.
"It's a frisky subject, nudity," said Klum.
Heidi explained the details just before hitting the catwalk for the Zac Posen
show but Billy had one last question.
"Was this a deal to go topless, or was this a deal for 'Klum in full bloom'?"
asked Billy.
Heidi quickly clarified, "No, it was topless. You have bottom and top but no
front. The bottom, only from the back though, not from the front."
Kansan's notes: Heidi appeared on the Zac Posen fashion show, when she
was interviewed by "Access Hollywood", on Thursday, September 18, the same day
that the $1 million Klum/Playboy story had appeared in the "New York Post" in
the morning.
Meanwhile, yesterday she announced through her official Web site
http://www.heidiklum.com
that she will appear on the Beckmann show (ARD, a German television network) on
Monday, September 29, at 11 pm.
September 29 is the feast day of St. Kyriakos, one of the patron Saints
of my friend Kyriakos. His other patron is St. Kyriaki (a female Saint). I
had left for my Summer vacation on July 7 (7/7), the feast day of St. Kyriaki,
and returned on July 20, 2003, 13 days later, on the feast day of St. Kyriaki,
according to the Old Calendar (Julian). Kyriakos drove me to the airport on
July 7 and let me know that it was the feast day of St. Kyriaki. As I was
returning from Greece, my mother-in-law reminded me that July 20 was the feast
of St. Kyriaki according to the Old Calendar.
Cologne, Germany, Heidi's hometown, is also known for the legend of St.
Ursula and the 11,000 Virgins. Heidi will play the role of Ursula Andress in
an upcoming movie biography of actor Peter Sellers for HBO.
St. Ursula's companion was Pope Cyriacus (Kyriakos), who resigned from
the Papacy in order to follow Ursula and the 11,000 Virgins from Rome to
Cologne. Because of this, the other Church leaders erased his name from the
list of Popes and that is why there is no official record of a Pope Kyriakos
anymore.

Our Blessed Mother, Heidi, need not disrobe to continue in our favor. But if
she does, I'm there, Dude. I mean, she is bathed in sunlight and garbed in
moonbeams.
I have written many times in the past that whether she poses nude or not,
I will support her either way. Any such pictorial of hers will be a
celebration of life and love. She is very right to want to have control over
the project.
Who is going to play Peter Sellers?
The British actor Geoffrey Rush. Heidi has already filmed her scenes
with him in London.
Last June it was announced that Heidi will be in a new James Bond video
game, "Everything or Nothing", to be released in November.
Then, in early July she announced that she was going to play Ursula
Andress, the first and most famous Bond Girl. Ursula was in two Bond movies,
"Dr. No" with Sean Connery and the spoof "Casino Royal" with Peter Sellers.
The children's book character Heidi was from a German city, Frankfurt,
but she loved to live in the Alps, in Switzerland. Ursula Andress is
Swiss-born, from Bern, but has German parents, and Heidi Klum is from a German
city, Cologne. However, Klum, too, has links to the Alps, to South Tyrol,
where her family has a ski chalet.
St. Ursula is associated with Cologne.
After writing the original message in this thread, I remembered that
today, September 27, is the birthday of my friend Kyriakos.
Happy birthday, Kyriakos!

The 11,000 virgins is thought to be a typo. The best explanation is that it
was something like 11 (mild?) virgins.

There is an old abbreviation that says "XI. M. V."
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/15225d.htm
Some people interpret this to mean "undecim martyres virgines", i.e.,
"eleven virgin martyrs"; others interpret it to mean "undecim millia
virginum", "eleven thousand virgins".
The Lord, Our God, wants the best for all of us, His children. We should
have a philosophy of abundance and plenty, we should not live in a World of
scarcity.
Thus, I tend to favor the interpretation "eleven thousand virgins".

Well, you'd have difficulty finding "11,000 noble virgins" in Britain
nowadays - it would have been even more ticklish in the 5th century.

St. Ursula and the 11,000 Virgins were from Britain and had several
adventures that brought them to Cologne. They then went to Rome where the
Pope, Cyriacus (or Kyriakos, in Greek spelling), happened to be from Britain,
too.
Pope Kyriakos resigned from the Papacy to follow them back to Cologne.
Significantly, my own friend Kyriakos is Greek, but he studied and got
his Ph.D. in Britain. It was there, too, that he met Danae, a very smart
Greek-Cypriot lady, they were married and had their two daughters there.
Yesterday was Kyriakos's birthday and tomorrow, September 29, is his name day,
the feast of St. Kyriakos.
The Greek name "Kyriakos" means "he who belongs to Kyrios, i.e., the Lord
(Jesus Christ)".
John, we should not be constrained by feelings of scarcity. Think big!
Seek and you shall find. Ask and you shall be answered. Knock and it
shall be opened.
