It has come to my attention that some alt.fan.art-bell regulars are
looking for a photograph of mine.

I am Brother Nick Kaffes, Monroe Chapter, Order of AHEPA. I was
initiated into this Masonic-type secret society during the Carnival season
after my 29th birthday.
My Muse Heidi Klum, who was born on Marilyn Monroe's birthday, June 1,
was initiated into the Roten Funken, i.e., the Red Sparks of Cologne, the
oldest secret society organizing the Cologne Carnival, during the Carnival
season after her 29th birthday. She was initiated on March 1, 2003, nine
months, or the length of a "pregnancy", after her 29th birthday, June 1,
2002.
My wife Constance "Dina" Kaffes belongs to the Daughters of Penelope,
the
women's branch of the Order of AHEPA. She belongs to the Aura Chapter of the
Daughters of Penelope.
The day after her initiation into the Roten Funken, on March 2, 2003,
Sister Heidi and Renault Formula 1 team manager Flavio Briatore appeared
together for the first time as a "secret couple", riding her Carnival float
in
her hometown Bergisch Gladbach, a suburb of Cologne. That day happened to be
Freemason Brother Nikos Kazantzakis's birthday.
On Briatore's birthday, April 12, 2003, Sister Heidi christened a
luxury
cruise ship, the AIDA Aura, on the E. 12th Meridian in Warnemuende, Germany.
The AIDA Aura then sailed to the Mediterranean, to its cruising base
Heraklion,
Crete, the birthplace and burial place of Brother Nikos Kazantzakis.
On America's birthday, July 4, 2003, my wife, Sister Dina, Aura Chapter
member, arrived in Heraklion, Crete, the base port of the AIDA Aura.
On September 14, 2003, Sister Heidi appeared as part of the "Imitation
of
Christ" fashion show. That same evening HBO premiered its new show,
"Carnivale".
That same evening President Bill Clinton stated that "the recall
election
is threatening to turn California into a laughingstock and a Carnival."
Flavio Briatore was born on April 12, 1950, and I, Brother Nick Kaffes,
on December 25, 1952. What is the midpoint between our birthdates?
The midpoint is August 19, 1951, the fifth birthday of President
Clinton.

One of the weirdest "coincidences" I have discovered in recent years is
the following one. Although I used to attend AHEPA meetings regularly in the
1980s, I have not been to a meeting for more than ten years. However, the
"public face" of AHEPA in the last few years is a gentleman by the name of
Andrew Kaffes. He is the Director of Public Relations of AHEPA:

The surname "Kaffes" is not at all common in Greece and, although I was
not aware of Brother Andrew Kaffes in the past, we may be distantly related.

Of course, I am much more handsome than that.
Andrew Kaffes is a graduate of Syracuse University. The city of Syracuse
on the Italian island of Sicily is on the N. 37th Parallel.
As I have written before, the number 37 is very important, for reasons
that I can not discuss in public.

Too much ouzo will make you think that.
Carl is one of the most faithful among my many followers.
After reading your message, Carl, I asked Dina, my wife:
"Dina, agapoula mou (my little love), do we have any ouzo in the house?"
She said:
"You don't need any ouzo."
Dina thinks I am drunk enough already with thoughts of Heidi. Anyway, I
got up and found the ouzo. I have not had any since my vacation trip to Greece
this past July.
So, I'm writing this reply while drinking some ouzo on the rocks. The
brand is "No.12", which makes me think of Heidi christening the AIDA Aura on
the 12th of April, 2003, on the E. 12th Meridian.
