my 'holiday' wish is for there to be total secularation by the next
time christmas rolls around.

Aside from the little plastic baby in the feeding trough, I think
you've already got your wish. Christmas is so secular they celebrate it
in all its kitschy, commercial glory in Japan, a country that is less
than two percent Christian.

Why? Christ is the reason for the Christ_mass season.
Yes I completely agree, that's why the term 'Christmas' belongs
only to Christians and we should give it back to them so they
can do with it as they wish it is now't ter do wi me.
We don't need to associate our end of year celebrations with
Christianity and I am sure they would wecome a clear distinction
between their rituals and what we do. Viva la differance.

I though some were by using the term "Happy Holiday" instead?

I though some were by using the term "Happy Holiday" instead?
Don't believe it for a second. They just added "Happy Holidays" to the
mix, since not quite everyone in the US celebrates Christmas and they
want to add those few extra percent to the December Potlatch.
