Statement of group claiming responsibility, the Secret Organization
Group of al-Qaida of Jihad Organization in
Europe:
'The heroic mujahidin have carried out a blessed raid in London'
A statement appeared today on the jihadist website Al-Qal'ah (Fortress),
purportedly posted by the group claiming responsibility for the bomb
attacks in London today. The following is a translated text of the
statement:
The Secret Organization Group of al-Qaida of Jihad Organization in
Europe (Jama'at al-Tanzim al-Sirri, Tanzim Qa'idat al-Jihad fi Urupa)
In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate, may peace be upon
the cheerful one and the dauntless fighter, Prophet Muhammad, God's peace
be upon him.
O nation of Islam and nation of Arabism: Rejoice for it is time to take
revenge from the British Zionist Crusader government in retaliation for the
massacres Britain is committing in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The heroic mujahidin have carried out a blessed raid in London. Britain
is now burning with fear, terror and panic in its northern, southern,
eastern and western quarters.
We have repeatedly warned the British government and people. We have
fulfilled our promise and carried out our blessed military raid in Britain
after our mujahidin exerted strenuous efforts over a long period of time to
ensure the success of the raid.
We continue to warn the governments of Denmark and Italy and all the
Crusader governments that they will be punished in the same way if they do
not withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. He who warns is
excused.

moral or legal by any standards to a civilized people. We're not
dealing with a group that has morals or civilized standards.

invested in 'security and intelligence'.
You say we would become something we abhor. Not so. Do you think
for a second anyone affected by terrorism is going to throw their

While I am fairly certain that the terrorists responsible for this attack

I don't agree in these cases. If one thinks their religion tells them to
kill infidels, that is a cause.
If the vast majority of followers of that particular religion are not
mindless killers - and they are not - then we must ask what the religious
actually tells them, and why so many seem unable to see it.
Christianity, Islam and Judaism share a violent history, for sure - and
much of it is documented in their holy texts - but so do all cultures.
Civilised people, including the vast majority of these faith groups, have
learned that a violent past does not require a violent future.
