Correct

You don't have to like Rush, you don't have to agree
with Rush. But at least recognize he did come
forward and admit it, and he didn't wait for a year
to come forward.

I agree, for the most part. One can condemn or
sympathize with him over his drug abuse, because he
presented so many ambivalent facets.

I am not denying that, and as I said before I am not
saying Rush doesn't deserve a few shots for this.

I mean he

didn't just fess up without having the s--t hit the
fan first.

He fessed up, and that is all that matters I guess. But
to sit here and pound on him for that, saying he didn't
fess up until he was pressured, and to ignore the fact
that we just had a president sitting in the oval office
who lived his entire political life dodging and denying
is sheer hypocrisy at its finest.

Look, if you are going to criticize Rush for that, fine.
But be willing to accept the fact that we just had a
president who practically lied his entire 8 years in
office.

I have hundreds of lies he told...And yet liberals are
so quiet on that.

token, he didn't deny what he knew to be a harmful
truth. He was hypocritical about drug use, an error
compounded of course by his larger-than-life
personallity and statments on the subject. But then
again, his use wasn't exactly recreational. That's to
say, I don't think that they were euphoria-inducing or
mind-altering drugs (please correct me if I'm wrong).
He began using them under a doctor's care, but did the
wrong thing when he broke the law to continue using
them.

And he did try to get help, twice as a matter of fact.
He ended up going back. Which was unfortunate for Rush.

So in a sense, he did fess up twice before. He just
didn't make a be public statement. Where is the
sympathy? When it is a liberal, all we hear is "it is
their private life"

Personally, I like the guy and wish him well. I often
disagree with him, and oftentimes he can be more than
unfair, but that's his shtick. He certainly was the
genesis of a genre of wildly popular commentary,
for better or for worse. I look forward to him
completing his rehab.

sense and good points, don't take my response back to
you as a attack. I am not attacking you. You seem more
reasonable than most of the others. I am just saying
to those who are playing this "we got Rush" game, be
prepared to own up to their own parties faults.

No worries here, my skin isn't that thin 8-) No doubt,
there's no shortage of anit-Rushes who have had more than
a few wet-dreams of kicking him while he's down. As they
say, every dog has it's day.

You know what is amazing? These liberals crying about Rush
Limbaugh addicted to pain killers. They are worried about a
commentator, when they elected a coke addict as the mayor
of Washington D.C.
