One thing you can say about the current administration, as John's post
proves, their propaganda tactics are effective.
Didn't the Bush Administration, during their 'invade Iraq now' campaign,
tell us they not only were sure Iraq had WMD, but that they 'knew where
they were'? Didn't they also blast away at the UN Inspectors as being
bungling idiots for not finding what was clearly under their noses,
since we 'knew where they were'? Wasn't the main reason that we didn't
share our knowledge of WMD with the inspectors (or the public in
general), because we didn't want to compromise sources and methods? Ahh
I see, that's the problem now, if we actually look at those places where
we KNOW WMD exist, based on what all those sources and methods told us,
we would run the risk of compromising sources and methods again, so even
though we do know where the WMD is at, we can't actually find it for
national security reasons. Yea, yea, that's the ticket. Oh, but wait,
didn't we compromise a CIA agent because her husband exposed the lie
concerning the Nigerian uranium that other sources and methods 'knew'
Iraq was trying to acquire. OIC, if a source or method exposes the
truth, it is expendable, but if they propogate a lie, protect them by
all means.
How about those Al Qaeda links? Didn't the DOD themselves release a
memo calling the crap Feith used to prove those links to be
'inaccurate'? Hmm, wonder what the sources and methods were for that
garbage...but we'll never know because they support a lie and therefore
have to be protected.
As far as Al-Qaeda in Iraq - why is it that, while the politicians like
to keep spouting off that the mythical Al Qaeda is behind the insurgancy
in Iraq in one breath, in the next they blame it on 'dead-enders from
the old regime'. Indeed, the military commanders on the ground assert
repeatedly that they have no evidence of any meaningful number of
foreign fighters or 'al qaeda' fighters in Iraq? Do you know something
they don't know? Are you perhaps an Al Qaeda spy trying to spread
disinformation to support your terrorist bretheren? LOL, sorry, I
couldn't resist that last line - it was uncalled for. How does it feel
to have your opinions spun to make you into some kind of saddam loving
terrorist?
I really do feel sorry for the people who buy the ***** being handed
down from our government. It proves that maybe many of us are as dumb,
ignorant and easily manipulated as they believe. I watched people
swallow Clinton's ***** for 8 years and now they are buying *****
from Bush. The biggest danger to America is not foreign terrorists -

work on a little thing called the Manhattan Project.

stating his draft board sent him to work on military projects, either

I am not sure on that one. I am not going to go back and reread dukes
rantings, IIRC, he stated that when his number came up it was 115 and
he was 25. {shrug} don't know enough about that draft.
