Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, a White House hopeful who has
sought the political middle on abortion, on Wednesday criticized
Republicans for trying to erode access to birth control for women.
"There's a quiet war going on in America - against the most basic
rights of Americans to make their own personal decisions about family
planning," Clinton wrote in a mass e-mail from her re-election
campaign.
The New York senator complained that the Bush administration and
congressional Republicans are whittling away at contraception options,
particularly for poor women who rely on government-funded programs.
The senator cited statistics showing that low-income women are having
four times as many unwanted pregnancies as higher income women and half
of all unwanted pregnancies end in abortions.
Republicans accused Clinton of seeking to enlarge federal programs.
"Once again, Hillary Clinton demonstrates that her top priority is
increasing both the size and scope of the government," said Republican
National Committee spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt.
Clinton's campaign letter asks supporters to sign a petition protesting
curbs on family planning services, and also links to a donation Web
page.

Hey, by that reasoning, her constituency must include a lot of
Republicans too: 47% of Republicans polled by FOX opposed

in the 7-8/05 CBS poll thought Roe vs. Wade was "a good thing"

Your header and subject line is a lie. Sen. Clinton is talking about
birth control and contraceptives, not abortion. The Republicans have
been caught out and cannot defend themselves, so they made a baseless
accusation against Sen. Clinton.
If poor women had easier and cheaper access to contraceptives, they
would be less likely to get pregnant, less likely to experience an
unwanted pregnancy, and thus less likely to need an abortion. This
would result in a decrease in the number of abortions because there
would be a decrease in the number of unplanned and unwanted
pregnancies.

four times as many unwanted pregnancies as higher income women and
half
of all unwanted pregnancies end in abortions.

Republicans accused Clinton of seeking to enlarge federal programs.

"Once again, Hillary Clinton demonstrates that her top priority is
increasing both the size and scope of the government," said Republican
National Committee spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt.

Clinton's campaign letter asks supporters to sign a petition
protesting
curbs on family planning services, and also links to a donation Web
page.

Is this because you refuse to wear a condom and expect women to take all
the
responsibility for contraception?

No to both accusations. I always wear a condom, and thus I do not
expect women to take all the responsibility for contraception.

However, your questions have nothing to do with my statements.
Probably because you cannot think of any way to refute them.

Breast cancer, adultery, pimping, whoring, porno, war?

None of which has anything to do with contraceptives. Or with
abortions, for that matter.

Abortions for those 'unwanted' pregnancies.

Which is what greater availability of contraceptives with help prevent.
Fewer unwanted pregnancies means fewer abortions. Simple math. "a"
is a function of "x", and is directly proportional to "x", so if "x" is
reduced by half, "a" will be reduced by a similar amount.

Your problem is you can NOT refute any of my words.

Your problem is that you cannot SUPPORT your assertions. Your
assertions have been refuted in the past that make any sense
whatsoever, such as your supposed link between Breast Cancer and
contraceptives. There is no significant increase in the risk of breast
cancer from the use of contraceptives.
http://www.breastcancer.org/research_diet_062702.html
http://www.breastcancer.org/cmn_myt_idx.html
In fact, contraceptives can provide some protection against ovarian
cancer.
None of the rest of your assertions about things being linked to
contraceptives and/or abortion have never had any potential links even
shown. You have never supported your assertions that these are in any
way linked to abortion or contraceptives.

You can't and you know you can't, militaristic tax leech.

Sorry, but I am not a "tax leech", no matter how much you lie about me.
I pay quite a lot of taxes, as a matter of fact.
And I can refute your words, but only after you actually say something
and support it. Mostly, you just throw out lame accusations and run
away. You need to actually SHOW the link that you claim exists. And
the requires more than saying that it took place after Roe vs. Wade,
because that does not establish any link at all. It only establishes
that the event/s took place after Roe vs. Wade, not that Roe vs. Wade
had anything to do with any of that.

I await your sexist wimp's ***** pitch.

Well, you will not get it, since I am not sexist, a wimp, nor do I
provide any "***** pitches".
You will, however, get the truth and the facts that you cannot handle.
Which is why you are reduced to ad hominem attacks and evasions.

Lol! I remember kids like that in the junior school playground. They
used to just shout "I won!" regardless of what happened. I've never
seen an adult behave like this before.

I do not need to run away as you Pro-Choicers and Gay Blade advocates scurry

Why?
Are they all pro-choice and pro-gay anti-liberty loons?
I already know the APA recommended same-sex marriages; yet, the voters have
already trounced that idea in every state that had same-sex marriages on the
ballot.
Are you telling me that the APA is not in line with the will of the people
of the United States of America?
And, as for the 'if you were me' line.
You aren't me.
Also, why do you think Free Speech is not a guaranteed fundamental right in
the USA?
