Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, a White House hopeful who has
sought the political middle on abortion, on Wednesday criticized
Republicans for trying to erode access to birth control for women.
"There's a quiet war going on in America - against the most basic
rights of Americans to make their own personal decisions about family
planning," Clinton wrote in a mass e-mail from her re-election
campaign.
The New York senator complained that the Bush administration and
congressional Republicans are whittling away at contraception options,
particularly for poor women who rely on government-funded programs.
The senator cited statistics showing that low-income women are having
four times as many unwanted pregnancies as higher income women and half
of all unwanted pregnancies end in abortions.
Republicans accused Clinton of seeking to enlarge federal programs.
"Once again, Hillary Clinton demonstrates that her top priority is
increasing both the size and scope of the government," said Republican
National Committee spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt.
Clinton's campaign letter asks supporters to sign a petition protesting

Republicans for trying to erode access to birth control for women.

planning," Clinton wrote in a mass e-mail from her re-election
campaign.
The New York senator complained that the Bush administration and
congressional Republicans are whittling away at contraception options,
particularly for poor women who rely on government-funded programs.
The senator cited statistics showing that low-income women are having
four times as many unwanted pregnancies as higher income women and
half
of all unwanted pregnancies end in abortions.
Republicans accused Clinton of seeking to enlarge federal programs.
"Once again, Hillary Clinton demonstrates that her top priority is
increasing both the size and scope of the government," said Republican
National Committee spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt.
Clinton's campaign letter asks supporters to sign a petition
protesting
curbs on family planning services, and also links to a donation Web
page.
Your header and subject line is a lie. Sen. Clinton is talking about
birth control and contraceptives, not abortion. The Republicans have
been caught out and cannot defend themselves, so they made a baseless
accusation against Sen. Clinton.
If poor women had easier and cheaper access to contraceptives, they
would be less likely to get pregnant, less likely to experience an
unwanted pregnancy, and thus less likely to need an abortion. This
would result in a decrease in the number of abortions because there
would be a decrease in the number of unplanned and unwanted
pregnancies.

Fewer unwanted pregnancies means fewer abortions. Simple math. "a"
is a function of "x", and is directly proportional to "x", so if "x" is
reduced by half, "a" will be reduced by a similar amount.
Your problem is you can NOT refute any of my words.
Your problem is that you cannot SUPPORT your assertions. Your
assertions have been refuted in the past that make any sense
whatsoever, such as your supposed link between Breast Cancer and
contraceptives. There is no significant increase in the risk of breast
cancer from the use of contraceptives.

In fact, contraceptives can provide some protection against ovarian

None of the rest of your assertions about things being linked to
contraceptives and/or abortion have never had any potential links even
