Hitler eventually cae to understand that Cristianity is an offshoot of
Judaism. Both religions share the same god, the same fundamental
scriptures, that is to say, the Old Testament, and the same fundamental
values: forgiveness, mercy, a reward for hard work, veneration of the
elderly and care of the infirm, and salvation. He realized that
Christianity regards a man born of a Jewish mother as its central figure,
and regarded its fundamental values as unsuitable for Aryans, who are
supposed to be unforgiving and merciless ('r=FCcksichtslos' =AD ruthless =

one of Hitler's favorite qualifiers). Rather than working hard to achieve
their goals, Aryans regard themselves as superior to others and thus
justified in taking whatever they want from those who are weaker. They do
not venerate the elderly or care for the infirm, but kill them off as
useless eaters who contribute nothing to society. The Aryan is not a
spiritualist, but rather a materialist striving for a moment of heroism
rather than eternal salvation. Since his efforts to become a hero requires
him to defy death every day, the Aryan lives for the present, not for the
future. Insofar as he believes in a life after death at all, the Aryan
strives to reside after his worldly death in Valhalla, the abode of Aryan
"heroes" as obnoxious, self-centered, and anti-social as he is, where he
can drink beer, swop stories, and fight with them for all of eternity.
