That pretty much sums up everything bad about the neo-cons.
I mean, I'd bet that you could sit this puppy down and explain
all his errors to him, and he'd just bark a contradiction then
squeeze out another steaming load of this poo.
Seeing how the bible does give an example of the eastern
legal system -- Jesus? Convicted & sentenced to death?
Hello? -- they know for a fact that our legal system doesn't
share any similarities with biblical "justice." At the same
time, the Roman (Pagan) legal system wouldn't look that
alien to us at all. They had courts, judges and even those
pesky lawsuits in Rome.
I probably don't need to point out that the only part of the
bible that appears to directly condemn gay people also
condemns eating pork and shellfish, or allowing a woman
to teach men (amongst other prohibitions violated by
so-called "Christians" on a daily basis).
For extra hypocrisy points: Go to church on Sunday instead
of the Sabbath, which is *Saturday* for crying out loud! Um,
Hello? "The seventh day"? Hello? Saturday? Get it? Sunday
is the *First* day of our week, Saturday is the *Seventh*
day!
You'll burn in Hell for all eternity for that one, "Christian."

He doesn't sound like a foaming-at-the-mouth nut. Other than being a bit
disorganized, he's said it pretty well. Democratic institutions *are* a
threat to strict doctrinal religious society.
We only differ on whether that's a bad thing. ;-)

Just as he wants people to know the bible, he should learn a bit about USA

My thought as I read his letter? If the bible can't survive democracy
then, buh-bye bible!

"The Bible, in this supposedly Christian society ..."
Any idea which society he's talking about? The paper is in the US,
but since we're legally NOT a Christian nation ...

Well, he used the word "society," which might in his mind cover some
slightly different ground. I'm just guessing...

Are you sure that the letter isn't satire? I wouldn't put it past the
Landover Baptist folks, or someone of a like mind...

It's possible. Around North Carolina, it's damn hard to tell, at times.
