That's a Japanese soldier. They are not involved in combat
operations.
And a live child, too. Unlike the tens of thousands of newly dead
ones.
Most of whom have been killed by the "insurgents".
Not true, as it happens. But how could we expect *you* to know, Chuckles?
Your people *won't even count the fucking bodies*.
Ever wondered *why*...?
I did not write the above. The above is attributable to one Fred Stone.
Just thought I'd let you know (no attribution).
I must say this has certainly brought out the people who "support our
troops".
Screw 'your' troops, you sad little muppet: in the last 2 years they've been
killing innocent Iraqis at a greater rate than Saddam was.

Sorry, dear boy: I snipped more than I wanted to! I knew whose statement was
whose, though! Apologies to you and anyone who was confused.

Congratulations, you're the second poster to pretend that it makes a
difference.

But, according to the article Fred posted, they are protected by
Australian soldiers, who are.
So, I'll join with Fred in saluting the Japanese and Australian
soldiers who are trying to undo some small part of the damage that the
U.S. is doing to the country.
And, I'll go beyond the article by also saluting those American
soldiers (and there are a great many of them) who also join in such
things, overcoming the cowboy "kill 'em all and let god sort 'em out"
mentality fostered by their leadership.

You are aware that the US soldiers - and the Japanese ones,
for that matter - who take part in building schools and
water-treatment plants are doing so under *orders* from their
leadership? These humanitarian acts aren't acts of rebellion
against evil military authorities - the building of a school is
just as much "fostered by their leadership" as the assault on
Fallujah.

Those would be the water-treatment plants deliberately targeted by the
US air force, right? Did you mean "rebuilding"? Oh and those were
destroyed in the time of sanctions, long, long before the end of major
combat operations and Mission Accomplished.

Completely irrelevant to my point, but thank you for playing.
