House Resolution To Endorse "Biblical Worldview" Pending... |
<Long article>
How some in Congress are trying to sneak bogus "Christian Nation"
history into US school rooms.
There's also a link to a goofy video where Huckabee's friend Chuck
Norris and his blondie wife try to explain it to us.

These mentally challenged people are just *itchin'* to start the Second
American Civil War, aren't they? They just won't quit. Over the course of
time I think they will succeed too. Look at the 'infrastructure' they have
in place. Look at how many of their number are well placed in high places.
And we know all too well that they will not listen to reason. They live in a
'Christian' parallel universe becoming increasingly remote from the real
world -- only it *does* reside in the real world! And that would be 'okay'
if it didn't have such dire consequences for those who do not embrace their
world view; a view which, eventually, will have them pitted against *each
other* because of differing interpretations of 'Scripture' -- the
religiously-diseased idiots.
Let what continues to be done to me out here in northeast Wisconsin serve as
a daily reminder of what these people think is perfectly acceptable
treatment regarding the non-believer when given enough 'freedom'. (Given a
little more, my sorry-***** would have been gone *long* ago.) I'm sorry to see
that one of those Republican 'History Ignoramuses' listed is Wisconsin's own
Paul Ryan, a pretty 'sharp' guy. What in the *hell* went wrong *there*?!
Been drinking water from a severely polluted Janesville well or something?

I agree. They have the power. And yet they claim that 'persecuted' by
the 10 percent of us who are non believers.

This is a perfect example of why there should be a constitutional test
for all people running for office. If they can't comprehend the rules
the country is supposed to operate under, they have no business standing
a chance of getting elected.

Well, I see I have to go back to checking up on Thomas every week. My
senator is one of the idiots who's sponsoring this travesty.
Even ignoring the foundational statements, the resolution itself is a
lie:
- "affirms the rich spiritual and diverse religious history of our
Nation's founding and subsequent history, including up to the current
day;"
Rich & diverse? They just made 75 statements explaining how the US is
Christian.
- "recognizes that the religious foundations of faith on which America
was built are critical underpinnings of our Nation's most valuable
institutions and form the inseparable foundation for America's
representative processes, legal systems, and societal structures"
I guess they don't consider the Constitution or the first amendment to
be all that critical.
- "rejects, in the strongest possible terms, any effort to remove,
obscure, or purposely omit such history from our Nation's public
buildings and educational resources"
Obviously they think that pesky legal system is more valuable in theory
than in practise.
- "expresses support for designation of a `American Religious History
Week' every year for the appreciation of and education on America's
history of religious faith"
If this week of education includes *everything* done in the name of
religion, from the eradication of the natives to the illegal invasion of
a sovereign nation, then it might be a useful tool.

Sorry about that.
Even ignoring the foundational statements, the resolution itself is a

As usual they get it wrong.
- "recognizes that the religious foundations of faith on which America

institutions and form the inseparable foundation for America's
representative processes, legal systems, and societal structures"
I guess they don't consider the Constitution or the first amendment to

I suppose they can read the minds of people who have been dead for
almost 200 years.

something like how we 'saved' the 'poor savages'.

Just in case this stupid thing does go into effect, I'm already making
outlines for articles and story ideas that can be written to celebrate
this particular week. The main newspaper wouldn't be likely to publish
anything like them, but we have a number of alternative papers that
might.
