Until you can prove there is no god, it remains a belief

Nope. It's a lack of belief.

Of course, one can believe that there is no god, and that's
simply because there's no evidence to support the notion that there

is

a god, and the fact that the concept of god is inchoate and
incoherent.

If atheism is a "lack of belief in God," what is preventing you from
believing? What is enabling the LACK part? That explanation already
states God exists. Your LACK of believing indicates some severe denial
issues on your part. Or maybe you suffer from a mental disorder that
is preventing you from believing what you admit exists?

You didn't read my question, did you? Don't bother. The Pope did, and he
answered what was asked. (You should take lessons.)

Looks like Christopher hit a nerve.

It is a fair question when atheists are surrounded by believers who
take the existence of their god as an unquestioned given. But I have
not heard any god hypothesis that I found to be convincing. I cannot
just decide to believe that which is unbelievable to me by force of
will. Gods and goddesses are just ideas that other people believe are
real, but only exist in their imaginations, as far as I can tell.
Lots and lots of gods and goddesses.
How do you explain that you do not believe in things that many other
people believe without an obvious good reason? Does admitting that
other people believe them give them some inherent existence that you
are denying?

Logic.

What is enabling the LACK part?

Sanity.

That explanation already states God exists.

Only no proof.

Your LACK of believing indicates some severe denial
issues on your part.

Correct. The denial to believe based on nothing.

Or maybe you suffer from a mental disorder that
is preventing you from believing what you admit exists?

Well, in that case, it was given to me by your gods. They created
everything, didn't they? Including my mental disorder, or yours.
