How Long Before Cross Shaped Debris is Recovered In Britain? |
I'm sure that they can find two pieces of twisted metal that are at
right angles to each other, if they look hard enough. How long will it
be before British fundies claim this was some kind of sign from god.
Just as in Sept. 11th, their god is apparently quite concerned about
making cross shaped pieces of debris, but doesn't give a ***** about
stopping terrorist attacks.

eradicate." -- Richard Dawkins

I heard something like that on radio. That evil in the world is proof
of God's existence and of God's plan. This stuff is unfalsifiable. If
there was no visible evil in the world that would be a sign that God
is working in the world.

Exactly. If there were a benevolent, all powerful, and all knowing

lousy plan.

Already heard. The bus that was blown up detonated almost right outside a hotel
where a doctors' convention/reunion/something was taking place; after the
explosion, the doctors rushed out and started triage and helping those they
could until ambulences arrived. I heard several news commentators (all on FAUX,
of course) who were asserting that it was a miracle that the attack took place
where medical help was so close at hand. Of course, my first thought is to
wonder why, if God was merciful enough to have the explosion take place so
close to a group of doctors with free time on their hands....

Given the shape of tunnels, they're more likely to find a piece
of metal that is crescent shaped. But I somehow doubt they'll
start idolizing that.

Moreover, the Virgin Mary is one the vaguest character images.
A pointy feathered cap, or strap-on baldric, might suggest Robin Hood,

Churchillian -- But a cloaked woman appears on handkerchiefs every time
I sneeze.

Just as in Sept. 11th, their god is apparently quite concerned about
making cross shaped pieces of debris, but doesn't give a ***** about
stopping terrorist attacks.
The Twin Towers were structured almost entirely from crosses.
As are most building in the world. Due to a phenomena known as gravity,
which I realize fundies only consider to be a "theory", it turns out
that a vertical columns with horizontal cross members bear the most
stable load, while spanning large space with minimal cost or
complication. Furthermore, these traits have nothing to do with the
fairy tale about jesus dying while attached to one. These techniques
were around far before the new testament, or the old testament for that
matter, was written and continued to be around afterward as well.

eradicate." -- Richard Dawkins

Twisted pieces of metal in the shape of a cross, removed from a
70-year-old woman's abdomen, who finally saved up enough money to
retire three days earlier, prove conclusively the existence of god....
Lol. Twisted, but funny.

As it was in England, probably never, even if such a pice was found, the
chances are the person finding it wouldn't think anything of it.

Fortunately, the Brits aren't fervent on religion like Americans. About
the most extreme Christians you find over there are the Christian
Brotherhood and they're relatively few in number.
