You missed the reference to socialism, I take it. He was for free caring of health done in his
name by individuals, not individuals relying on a totalitarian State to do their good works for

The religious right these days seems to be mightily in favor using the power of the
government to implement and enforce Biblical teachings, as long as the matter under consideration
has to do with homosexualilty, abortion, prayer, or marriage. They're not nearly so eager
to have the government implement and enforce Jesus' teaching on charity and denial of
the self in the name of easing the burdens of the disadvantaged.

Actually, they try to support faith based charities but perhaps some atheistic bigot who is igorant
of history comes along with the bromide "separation of church and state."

accepted as such by educated Christians. Even in the USA maybe by
about 4 times as many Christians as atheists.

taught in textbooks are not.

In fact, a lot of frauds and so on in the textbooks have nothing to do with
reality and everything to do with the moral degeneracy of certain atheists.
