I'm surprised that the anti-gay lobby hasn't latched into this issue,
complaining that "Gays have special rights because they don't have to go to
war like everyone else."

the past, gay men and women are required to serve and may not be
discharged. The idea is to keep people from suddenly "discovering" they
are gay and thus avoid combat. The supreme irony is that, as a result,
gay men and women are serving openly and nothing at all bad is happening
to troop moral or unit cohesiveness as a result.
Once the military leadership pull their heads out of their collective
asses, they will realize that there is no reason to prohibit gay people
from serving openly and honestly. Homosexuality will no longer be a
disqualification for the draft.

Thankfully, most draftees are relatively young. If I remember, staying up
about a week on meth until the paranoid delusions were really firing was
an alternative. Remember to speed safely and let someone else drive you.
There is also anorexia and overeating, your choice.
Iggy Pop in Lust for Life has a section on working up an erection and
pretending to be really embarrassed about it before the other men.

I had a friend who was 4Y, as low as you can get and still be draftable.
Seems one leg was two inches shorter than the other. (This was in the early
60's)
As he was finishing up he made a joke about it within the hearing of a
Marine doctor.
The doc called him in, said that if he thought it was so funny he had a big
surprise for him.
He stamped him 4F and said "Now you will never be able to serve!"
Gotta love the marines.
I met somebody years later who was in worse shape than my friend but pissed
off some enlisted men during his physical and they got him drafted.
