re-consider your use of "NeoCon" as a synonym for conservative or some
such. The Neocons are a reasonably (as reasonably as anything such in
politics) well defined group and that definition mostly has to do with
foreign policy. The Neocons differed from old-time conservatives by
their "willingness" (assertive desire) to project U.S. influence/force
in other countries. Old-time conservatives were pretty much
isolationists. For them the Cold War was an anomaly and, when that was
over, they wanted to go home.
