Object: How will the Democrats do better -- Another look
This is a followup to my thread "Enough with the Bush Bashing -- How will
the Democrats do better?"
Since the elections, Democrats have engaged in a frenzy of hatred and
bitterness. Consider:
1. They've demanded multiple recounts in Ohio and repeatedly claimed that
Bush "stole" the election.
2. One Democrat senator and 31 Democrat House members voted to decertify
Ohio's electoral votes and disenfranchise 62 million Bush voters.
3. John Kerry used the occasion of MLK Day to allege vote fraud in Ohio.
4. Kerry took a foreign trip and criticized US foreign policy on foreign
soil.
5. Senate Democrats have assailed - with unprecedented harshness - Bush
cabinet members at confirmation hearings. Out of spite, they delayed
the confirmation of Condi Rice so that she wouldn't be confirmed on
inaugural day.
6. Inaugural day saw puerile protests from Democrats contemptuous of
democracy.
And it's only going to get worse:
"Trying to show that they remain a force despite their reduced numbers,
Senate Democrats on Monday threatened new hurdles for President Bush's
cabinet choices and expressed deep misgivings about the planned Social
Security changes at the heart of this year's Republican agenda.
Senator Byron Dorgan of North Dakota said he was mulling whether to
try to stall consideration of Michael O. Leavitt, Mr. Bush's choice
for health secretary, unless Mr. Dorgan was guaranteed a vote on
allowing importation of cheaper prescription drugs.
In addition, a growing number of Democrats are raising issues about
the selection of Alberto R. Gonzales as attorney general, a nomination
initially headed for quick approval."
...
"'The honeymoon is over and we are now in the full throes of our new
marital arrangement here,' said Senator Richard J. Durbin of Illinois,
the Democratic whip, after he and other Democratic leaders introduced
a priority list on Monday sharply at odds with that put forward by
Republicans."
...
"[Democrats] demonstrated a willingness to use procedural weapons to
make their points, even at the risk of being branded
obstructionists."

false

2. One Democrat senator and 31 Democrat House members voted to decertify
Ohio's electoral votes and disenfranchise 62 million Bush voters.

true

3. John Kerry used the occasion of MLK Day to allege vote fraud in Ohio.

true

4. Kerry took a foreign trip and criticized US foreign policy on foreign
soil.

Yay!! If bush would do that, our boys could stop dying.

5. Senate Democrats have assailed - with unprecedented harshness - Bush
cabinet members at confirmation hearings. Out of spite, they delayed
the confirmation of Condi Rice so that she wouldn't be confirmed on
inaugural day.

The fact that she's a stone cold liar couldn't have anything to do with
it. lol

6. Inaugural day saw puerile protests from Democrats contemptuous of
democracy.

snore

And it's only going to get worse:

You betcher *****! 31 investigations into the Bush admin to date.

"Trying to show that they remain a force despite their reduced numbers,
Senate Democrats on Monday threatened new hurdles for President Bush's
cabinet choices and expressed deep misgivings about the planned Social
Security changes at the heart of this year's Republican agenda.

Maybe they don't like being lied to. lol

Yay!!

In addition, a growing number of Democrats are raising issues about
the selection of Alberto R. Gonzales as attorney general, a nomination
initially headed for quick approval."

Yeah, the torture lawyer might actually have to recant instead of
weaseling around and not answering questions.

That's what happens when you try to railroad half the country.
So, where's the frenzy ofhatred and bitterness? Sounds like a day in
Clinton's republican congress to me, except then there'd be some 50 more
judgeships denied. lol

That's it?

When people commit murder the first item on the agenda is to put them
in prison where they cannot do any more harm. Bringing the victims
back to life usually isn't an option, so people find solutions as best
they can.
If you're trying to argue that we shouldn't put people in prison
because we can't bring the victim back to life any better than can
the criminal, then I'd suggest that you should take a look at why
you're so willing to ignore such crimes.

I have been watching the thread so far, and I haven't seen anyone who is
constantly bashing Bush giving an answer. Isn't it funny how they can bash
the President but they have no answers?
The elections will be interesting, I think we will learn a great deal more
and have some better idea as to what we should do after the elections are
complete.

You decided to embrass yourself some more?

How could Democrats do any worse would be a better question.

They like to show us almost every day.

So when are those Democrats going to offer any alternative plans in Iraq?

as soon as kerry takes the oath of office as commander-in-chief. who better
to get bush out of the horrible mess he made than a war hero?

Would Kerry have hired one as a consultant?
Other than whine, evade, and create a sig showing the mental capacity of
a 5 year old, what would you do to solve the Iraq situation?

Nothing Republicans would not have done if things were reversed.
