HOWARD DEAN'S UGLY SLUR |
HOWARD DEAN'S UGLY SLUR
NY Post Editorial
September 27, 2003 -- There was a particularly ugly moment during
Thursday's free-for-all between the 10 Democratic presidential
candidates at Pace University.
It came when an obviously stung Howard Dean lashed out at rival *****
Gephardt for comparing him to former GOP House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
"We need to remember that the enemy here is George Bush, not each
other," said Dean.
Say what?
George Bush is the enemy?
Did Dean misspeak?
Or did he say what he meant?
Casual slur?
Or Freudian slip?
Either way, it was rendered even more offensive by the fact that it
took place at Pace University - once-upon-a-time virtually in the
shadows of the Twin Towers.
Even more sad is the fact that not one of his opponents - especially
pols like Joe Lieberman and Bob Graham, who allegedly know better -
criticized Dean on his use of the word.
Which we have to assume means that they agreed with it.
So let's be clear here.
George W. Bush is the president of the United States.
Osama bin Laden is the "enemy."
So was Saddam Hussein, until Operation Iraqi Freedom ended his
murderous regime - no thanks to Howard Dean.
Dean and the other Democratic candidates owe an apology to President
Bush.
And to the American people.
Not that we expect any such thing, of course.

Clearly Dean (and Democrats like him) feel the President of the United
States is "the enemy", while at the same time they feel Muslim terrorists
are "no biggie".
Today's Democrats are very, very warped individuals. It's not surprising
the American people have removed them from power.

He is.

Nope, they're the enemy too (a bigger one). That's why we're pissed that
Bush took resources away from the war on terrorism to fight this idiot war
on Iraq.

After all, it was the Muslims that after vowing/affirming to support
the Constitution, over-threw it, throwing out Habeas Corpus with the trash,
along with Civil Rights. It is the Muslims who are allowed into our
homes when we aren't there, without Judges to oversee such activity..
And, it is the Muslims that were the predominant party members
of the Enron group, and all the DOTCOMs that went down for
corporate scandals...
Yeah, the Muslims. Right.

Yeah, all 12 of them on the Supreme Court!
Who, Oh, BTW, -just happen- to be mostly Repugnicans.
After, of course,
they were fed -false- information regarding the popular vote.

And our soldiers are dying daily for a triple lie: the phantom WMDs, the
propaganda that Saddam had anything _whatsoever_ to do with 9/11, and that
everybody would have found the evidence for war convincing at the time
(except about 10 million people who participated in the largest and most
amazing planet-wide protest ever witnessed last March). There are about
25,000 dead Iraqis and 500+ dead Americans (so far) to whom Dubya was not
their friend. He was, in point of fact, their lying chickenhawk *****
of an enemy who got them killed for squat. Those are the _facts_ and that
is what the history books will show as the _facts_ in 100 years.
And just maybe those tens of billions we're pissing into a quagmire could
have built a school or two or a thousand here. You think those
trillions of deficit that have NOTHING to show for the spending except
destruction won't come home to roost? So Dubya's your kid's friend?
At least he didn't lie about consensual sex with an intern. That's what
counts, right?

Actually that is not really true. Due to both Repulicans and Democats the
State Legislature has decided who my reps. to the state legislature will be -
by gerymandering. They have also decided who my rep. to congress will be. It
is a Repulican by a large margin. But if I cross a nearby street, I cross a
district line and it is a Democatrat by a large margin. My state is not a
"swing state" so it is pretty much decided which way the electorial votes are
going to go before the election.
There really is no point in voting unless a local councilman's race gets hot
and heavy or something.
