I am a stupid *****? |
I am officially a "stupid *****." A mid-30 year old women called me that
yesterday, out loud, in public. Thinking about it now, I think I'm going to
take that as a compliment because I am probably one of the nicest guys out
there. You can confirm it with people who know me, hehe. Often, I think I am
too nice, so to have a mid-30 year old women call me a "stupid *****" in
public is a 1000 points in my book.
It started when I went to get takeout sushi at Tokyo Taipei at Fallsgrove
Village Center; so I can meet my friend David, who works at the pool, to
have lunch. I drove into Fallsgrove Village Center at lunchtime and as
always, the place is packed with people and cars. There was a line of cars
trying to get into the shopping center.
Now let me explain, this shopping center is in the nice part of town. It's
an upper class neighborhood of Rockville, Maryland. The shopping center
website, says that the average household income in the area is $80,000 to
$95,000 plus. The townhouses around that area are $700,000 plus which is a
lot for a townhouse. There are office buildings and a nice hospital/medical
center near by so it's an economically booming area.
So, I went there to grab takeout sushi. I got it, then returned to my car.
I'm
in my car and there are a ton of cars behind me with more cars pulling in.
The cars behind me are just sitting there waiting, because it was just so
congested. Check out the diagram:
There's an opening and I know I can easily back out and pull away. So I
begin to back out, as step 1 in the diagram. As I do this, the women in the
red car starts honking me. I ignore her for a second, because I know she
thinks that I can't get out since it is cramped. She continues to honk at
me. I thought to myself, alright, I'll just turn around to tell her that I
can get out easily and it's OK. However, right when I turn around, she yells
at me with a crazy voice saying, "oh my god, can't you wait? You stupid
*****."
I was totally SHOCKED! This white mid-30s suburban soccer mom, driving an
expensive new Volvo wagon, just called me: "You stupid *****." It wasn't
just a "you stupid *****" under her breath. It was a "you stupid *****"
with a passion, out loud, in public. Not only that when she said "oh my god,
can't you wait?" she was saying it like it was the end of the world or like
I just killed someone. She was freaking out when she said that.
