I kid you not - Jack Paar dies at 85 |
TV talk show pioneer and original 'Tonight Show' host Jack Paar passed away
today at the age of 85. Say what you will about Johnny, Jay, Dave or Conan,
Jack was there before any of them.

Are you positive? I would have sworn that Jack Paar and
Bob Keeshan (Capt. Kangaroo) had died 8 or 10 years ago. How
about Jonathan Winters, Albert Schweitzer, and Woody Allen?
Are they still alive?

Woody Allen was alive?

Albert Schweitzer???? He was born in 1875. The rest of those guys may still be
alive, but their careers expired several years ago.

Woody Allen is still alive. The rest have shuffled off this mortal coil.
Especially Albert Shweitzer!

Jonathan Winters is still alive. He's 78 but still living. His last film was a
small indie comedy last year called "Swing" co-starring Jacquline Bisset, Tom
Skeritt, Mindy Cohn, Barry Bostwick and the late Nell Carter.

Darn! I used to like his show. He was the grandaddy of them all.
