I can't help thinking the problem is in the question. How can a person who
knows that the proposed escalation will not only fail but will make the
situation much worse answer, yes, I want it to succeed? Isn't it a bit like
an atheist saying, yes, I want to go to Heaven? If I'd been asked the
question, I feel sure it would have entered my mind that a yes would imply
that I supported what I feel is nothing more than an extension of the same
old "plan." I have no doubt that Fox News would interpret it that way.

First, you and Fox should define "succeed". Cheney and his puppet
have changed the course of that Iraq mess so often that people cannot
know what outcome, if any, will be considered a success by them. What
do you think a success there would consist of?

I would too. If Shrub say, "I plan on sending Bozo the Clown
to Iraq. My plan is that he will single-handledly pacify the
country," I would want the plan to succeed.
That's different from knowing that it's such a badly-
formulated plan it has no hope of succeeding.

Yeah, well, I question the patriotism of a overgrown fratboy who sends
other kids to war on evidence that is seriously discredited. And I
question the patriotism of people who blindly support said fratboy and
his warcons.

Right.
Because *real* patriots know that Bush's whack-a-mole,
delay-things-so-I-can-hand-this-botched-abortion-off-to-my-successor-then-blame-him-for-the-inevitable-pullout
holds great stratigic promise for the U.S.!
Poor Fred ... best he can do is rehash his tired old "You hate
America!" tantrum. Fucking moron is still as hopelessly clueless as he
was before his November bitchslapping.

You DO see the problem with that kind of poll question, don't you,

Fred isn't patriotic enough to put out any effort thinking about the
question.

No you question your strawman or rather one of Fox's renowned
strawman.
Let's see. Bush's plan is to kill more of our men for the benefit of
another country that he screwed in the first place.
I question your patriotism in that you don't want to even put yourself
out to think for your country. You'd rather we kill our men than you
have to do something as laborious as that.
