I saw a rainbow today... |
I saw a rainbow today, and every time I do, I'm reminded of how Genesis
takes mankind for a bunch of morons; in the case of theists it's right
of course, but the rest of us don't deserve such an infantile lie.
Specifically, I'm referring to the fact that the "rainbow" is alleged to
be God's "War Bow", hung up in the heavens as a promise that he won't
genocidally slaughter all living creatures in an indiscriminant flood.
So God still uses a *Bow and Arrow* to fight wars. Satan should totally
be able to kick his ***** then. And fundies have the nerve to claim that
Genesis should be taught in a science class, when their explanation for
rainbows is that it's god's "War Bow". Ok, I've got a question: if
that's god's bow, then where the ***** is the string? And why isn't god
smart enough to get a recurved or compound bow?
BTW, why is God's bow so !!!Fab-u-loooous!!!? God is *sooo* in the
closet.

Nah. That's all a silly myth. I'll just keep looking for the pot o'

No wonder he's dead, or at least blind. Didn't his mother ever tell him
he was going to shoot his eye out with that thing?

The crescent moon was also considered a hunting "bow" of some moon
god. No string there either. :)
