Object: I saw two married men kissing each other yesterday
It was incredibly beautiful and touching. I have never seen so two
individuals completely in love with each other. I could almost see God
smiling down upon them.

Yes, I've seen this occasionally, but the main question at issue is
were they married to each other?

If you saw two married men kissing each other, then their wives must be
terribly upset. Maybe it wasn't God's smile you saw, but Homer Simpson's
butt-crack.

You appallingly ignorant, xenophobic barbarian, have you never traveled to
a Latin country? Did you not kiss your father. A kiss means affection,
not lust. Quit projecting your dysfunctional sexual perversions onto
other people.

Really. He was born is 1927 (2005AD - 78 years), which means he was 13 if he
joined the hitler youth when the war started, say 1940. I'm sure the Hitler
youth were "drafting" before 13. So he joined as a preteen. Not exactly an
adult. When the war ended say in 1945, and he deserted as a soldier at that
age, he was at most 17.
When you were 17, you were still playing with your dolls.

Mortal sin is different than sin how? Apparently the don't buy into

Marriage is a gift from God and involves one man and one woman.

No marriage is just the union of two people.Whether you married by
Father Stevens in the local parish or by Judge Green in the town hall
you are a considered married and have the same rights and
responsibilities.

Mortal sin means destruction of a relationship with God. So it doesn't matter
if they buy in or not. God does not run a democracy.

Nope. Marriage is a spiritual union between one man and one woman. The civil
contract is nothing more than a license issued by local authorities to establish
legal rights of the parties.

There is no such thing as a gay marriage. There is only a civil contract.
Marriage is a gift from God and involves one man and one woman.

Nope. Marriage is a joining of one man and one woman. Father Stevens and Judge
Green are only witnesses. Both say "do you xxx take this yyy...." One, the
civil contract, is issued by civil authorities (Judge Green).
The civil license in both cases does have the same rights and responsibilities
in civil issues only. However, the true joining is in the sight of God, and
that is the marriage. God calls homosexuality a despicable act and is not
condoned.

Mortal sin is different than sin how? Apparently the don't buy into

Mortal sin means destruction of a relationship with God. So it doesn't matter
if they buy in or not. God does not run a democracy.

You still didn't explain how mortal sin was different then normal sin.

Booked to go? Where on a cruise? Civil
Contract=Marriage=Union of two people

Nope. Marriage is a spiritual union between one man and one woman. The civil
contract is nothing more than a license issued by local authorities to establish
legal rights of the parties.

Ok so then those married by Father Stevens don't have the same legal
rights as those by local authorities, that's good to know for future
reference in the court systems, thanks for the information

There is no such thing as a gay marriage. There is only a civil contract.
Marriage is a gift from God and involves one man and one woman.

No marriage is just the union of two people.Whether you married by
Father Stevens in the local parish or by Judge Green in the town hall
you are a considered married and have the same rights and
responsibilities.

Nope. Marriage is a joining of one man and one woman. Father Stevens and Judge
Green are only witnesses. Both say "do you xxx take this yyy...." One, the
civil contract, is issued by civil authorities (Judge Green).

No marriage is just the union of two people, if you think otherwise
you are mistaken. No Father Stevens and Judge Green are not the
witnesses, they are the officials there must be two other witnesses.

The civil license in both cases does have the same rights and responsibilities
in civil issues only. However, the true joining is in the sight of God, and
that is the marriage.

No marriage is just the union of two people, if you think otherwise
you are mistaken

God calls homosexuality a despicable act and is not condoned.

Sin is sin. There's mortal (serious) sin and venial (less serious) sin. One
flat out destroys your relationship with God, and the other is of a much less
serious nature.

Oh, he isn't.

Wrong again. Every marriage performed by Father Stevens is concluded afterwards
by the signing of a civil contract.
Civil law mandates the civil contract.

Civil law mandates the civil contract.

So then it is civil law that thus grants the married couple their
rights, Like I said it's good to know and thus states that marriage is
a civil affair, for if Father Stevens were to forget to have the
couple sign the document then they would not be married.

Not only is it a union of 2 people, it's only between one man and one woman.

No marriage is a civil thing and can be changed by the civil
authorities as they see fit, if it became popular they could amend it
so that you could marry a dog if they wanted to.

God wrote exactly zero words that are in the bible, the entire book
was written by those in the employ of the church.

Sure they would, because the marriage is the God part, not the civil contract.
The civil contract is a United States, et al, requirement.

Right - it's a civil law document for legal disposition of the couple's civil
responsibilities.

Not only is it a union of 2 people, it's only between one man and one woman.

No marriage is a civil thing and can be changed by the civil

That's the sad possibility following 2 queers signing a civil contract.

Well there were marriages in the soviet union and other eastern bloc
countries, marriage exists in India, China and there is little to no
god in those places.
If Father Stevens performs the ceremony the couple is considered a
married couple.
If Judge Green performs the ceremony the couple is considered a
married couple
In some places if a couple lives together for a certain numbers of
years they have what is considered a common law marriage and they are
considered a married couple
All three of these groups have the same rights and responsibilities,
you are just trying to define marriage to fit your own definition

What church?

Well since we are talking about the bible I would have to say the
christian church (churches of Rome,Eastern Orthodoxy,Greek Orthodoxy),
if you want to get nick-picky you could claim that the old testament
was already written before the rest of the bible, then the priests of
Judaism and the temple of Solomon would be the ones I'm talking about.
How ever we do know from which cultures and religions vast tracts of
the old testament comes from so listing all the churches/temples would
be more than just a little time consuming.
Azrael
The thiest/diest defense:
1)I believe in god, ergo god exists
2)I believe in god, ergo I know what god wills, wants, the path to god, etc.
3)I believe in god, ergo I am right/correct
4)You don't agree with me, you are wrong (see 1,2,and/or 3 above)
5)You dont' beleive as I do then you are wrong (see 1,2,and/or 3 above)
6)You want proof of god? (see 1,2,and/or 3 above)
7)You have evidence god does not exist (see 1,2,and/or 3 above)
8)If you don't believe as I do you are wrong (see 1,2,and/or 3 above)
There was no "before" the beginning of our universe, because once upon a time there was no time.
