I thought that this was an atheist chat room! 90% of what I see in all of
these postings is an indirect or direct reference to God!
Seems to me that everyone in this room is looking and seeking... but their
hearts are hardened by the lies and false doctrines of this world.

Interesting assertion, when you consider that one of the main reasons that
xtians who have turned atheist, from being on usenet, give, for the change, is
people like you.
So once again, I find my self in agreement with you, but not for the reasons you
would like.
Keep up the good work, kid.

We atheists only reject one more god than Christians do. And most of us
do not actually reject anything, we just accept that we do not believe
what we do not detect any reason to believe.

Hey Duke, answer these honest questions......
Do you think your posts in alt.atheism HELP the cause of Christianity
or hurt it?
Do you honestly believe your posts here shine a GOOD light on your
god?
Do you think that fostering contempt and ridicule amongst
non-believers helps you get into Heaven?
Thanks... I hope you answer these

Better to stupidly reject something than to stupidly accept. It is one
thing to not know, but it is far worse to "know" something that ain't
so.

I think Duke is quite helpful although unintentionally.
If his motive for being here were true--to "enlighten"
atheists of the error of their ways--then he shows
himself to be none too bright and an utter failure at
his self-appointed task. If anything, his unconvincing
posturing and phony condescending has had just the
opposite effect of the one he claims to intend. But we
can discount that as being his actual motive. Not
even dumb animals continue to act in ways that
have proven to be completely unproductive.
If one looks to what Duke _does_ rather than what he
_says_ it all becomes clear. Duke, of course, is a troll.
A troll seeks attention, obviously. But who's attention
does Duke seek? If one looks to the behavior of 3rd
grade boys toward girls, one sees the analogue of his
behavior. Duke isn't here because he is contemptuous
of atheists: he is here because he is not; just the
opposite in fact.
Duke cares a great deal about the opinions of atheists.
He loves being around atheists and probably wishes
he were one but lacks the courage to give up his life
-long superstition. He needs the attention of atheists
but due to his stunted social maturity--frozen at the
3rd grade level--the only way he knows how to get
it is to provoke their contempt.
In this, Duke is a net plus for the group. He offers in
himself a perfect example of the dregs of Christianity
for atheists to point to. Duke accepts this as the
price he must pay to get the attention he craves.
So don't take what he says seriously, or any more
seriously than you would coming from an 8 year old
because that is exactly where it is coming from. n

Actually the funny, but sad, part is how totally ignorant you atheists are of
the truth. I keep watching atheists say this and proclaim that, and the
average atheist denying God has absolutely no idea at all of the true God and
