Don't abuse the language like that. You can go on at whatever length
you wish about how irrational belief in aliens might be. You can even
point out that there are groups that are functionally religions with
"aliens" substituted for a god or gods.
But theism is a particular kind of belief. Not every unevidenced or
supernatural entity* is a god, and not every supernatural or
unevidenced belief is theism.
So....It's got to be a specific type of "god" (that
you don't believe in) to be an atheist?
No, he said that unevidenced belief in aliens doesn't make
one a theist. And it doesn't.
