Object: ID will return to the school.
A low level Pennsylvania judge ruled that a 4 paragraph statement cannot be read
just one time at the beginning of the school year acknowledging that alternate
theories exist in contradiction to that of evolution.

My money says that he will be overruled.

That would not automatically qualify ID to be taught. ID is not taught in
science lessons because *ID is not science*.

"The President is merely the most important among a large number
of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to
the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct,
his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and
disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is
absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell
the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly
necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when
he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both
base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of
the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or
wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable
to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about
him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth,
pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."

First of all, ID is not an "alternate theory". Secondly, it isn't being
appealed since all the dumbasses on that schoolboard who tried to force
their dogma down the children's throats all got voted out and replaced by
board members who oppose teaching ID in the science room. So, it cannot be
overturned, at least not in that case.

Yeah, there is that. I hoped you would not notice.

Hey, you're not dealing with yang here.

You still
interested on a larger scale?

Name the terms.

You set up the deal.

Ok, how about this. We find a charity we both would support. We both
send them $20. If this or a similar, and I am willing to go with a
broad notion of similar, ruling is overturned at either Federal
appeals or SCOTUS level, in the next 3 years (I will extend this for
the SCOTUS session if necessary) I will send you the $20. Does that
seem reasonable? That way we are effectively protected from the other
failing to pay on the bet. The worst that can happen is that you can
call the other a cheater and you have given money to a charity your
support.
Does that work?
If money is tight I will go with 2 hours of work for a local charity.
To be matched by the loser the same way.

He rules more than that. Are you trying the match the "Christian"
board members who lied under oath?

My money says that he will be overruled.

I will take that bet and give you odds. How much are you willing to
put up? Let's go with 3-1, ok?

20-1 and all bets off if there is not appeal?

I was hoping no one would point that part out to him.

Send it in cash. We wouldn't trust a cheque from you. The school board will
not appeal as the board members that started this all got voted out a
couple months ago when it was realised what these scamsters were attempting
to do.
