Like Kathryn, I say yes. One distinction I would like to make though, is
that there are members of the clergy who view their "calling" as a call to
help their fellow man. They are not "fanatics." I personally find these
"moderate" Christians to actually be a positive force in the community -
religion withstanding. (I'm not an atheist "extremist.") Unfortunately, the
more "exuberant" element among them are obsessively intent on brainwashing
our young and *that* is something this atheist won't stand for. It's okay to
instruct the young to be moral and virtuous, its another thing altogether to
instruct our young to eschew logic and reason. All the right-wing pastors
and preachers do, is produce religious cretins. And we have an abundance of
those already. The "Typhoid Mary's" of this world, need to be stopped.
