Object: If someone tells you they don't think Hitler was "such a bad guy", what do you say?
I read from time to time about white supremacy movements and people who still
adore/worship/admire folks like Adolf Hitler. I don't know any personally and
have never met one, but I am a little curious just how one might answer a
comment like what's in the subject - someone defending Hitler as a champion of
white supremacy, or perhaps defending him in some other way. What material is
out there for responding to these people? What material is there that is most
effective for refuting allegations that either the holocaust never happened, or
that it "wasn't that bad"? I can read any number of web sites explaining what
happened, but I assume such historical revisionists would just say they are
lies. What material would be most effective for using against arguments such as
those that kind of people are likely to use?
Just curious. Thanks as always for your time.

Hmmm...

Ken McVey was so good at it that (if memory serves) he received
a grant for his efforts. And, of course, a google groups search would
reveal that he's so good at countering the NAZIs that they often run
smear campaigns against him -- posting usenet articles accusing him
of everything from rape to child molesting:
http://www.vex.net/~kmcvay/
Whatever the case, he's a man that's EXTREMELY experienced
in dealing with "Historical Revisionists," and in particular the
"historical revisionists" one is most likely to encounter on the
internet.

There were a number of people that have expertise
in debunking Holocaust denial monkeys, a number
of them testified in the David Irving trial.
It would be nice to have a bibliography and a list of
better websites about this.

All contemporary reports indicate that Adolf Hitler was kind to
children and animals and gallant with women. He knew which fork to use,
patronized the arts, and bathed regularly. He was, additionally, an
accomplished conversationalist with considerable wit and personal
charm. He was a vegetarian in an age when it was certainly not popular,
loved chocolate, dancing, fine cars, nature and French wine. For all we
know he also liked sunsets and walks in the rain. (The Pina Colada,
alas, hadn't been invented yet.)
So, yeah, I suppose a case could be made that Hitler was your basic
all-around Aryan nice guy whe developed an unfortunate bad rep because
of one or two unlikable qualities.

It started with a If someone tells you they don't think Hitler was
"such a bad guy", what do you say?.
Who (other than Uncle Buck <UncleBuck@SpamMeNot.com>) would have
guessed it would end like:

What material is
out there for responding to these people?

AK45s, hand grenades, maybe even the odd second hand tank.

Doesn't matter, reason doesn't enter their universe.

Just curious. Thanks as always for your time.
