If there was ever a time that God should intervene... |
Everything the human race has done up to now was trivial compared to
this. Why doesn't God just take fire away?

Since there are no gods, people like you have
to do all the intervening.

People like me? I think that's the whole problem. Nobody says "people
like me" should do it, everybody says "people like you" should do it.
I've done my share, let me tell you.
What kind of people am I anyway?

Well, you're the one who brought it up. Apparently It's
you who gives a damn about it.
I've done my share, let me tell you.
Good for you!
What kind of people am I anyway?
You're the kind who ask: "Why doesn't God just take
fire away?"
I'm the kind who says: "Don't depend on imaginary beings. If there's
something troubling you, don't whine about it; get off your knees and
deal with it!"

There you go making assumptions.

Yeah. Kinda makes you feel proud, doesn't it? We're
rearranging entire ecosystems, and we're not even trying
hard! We're doing it by accident!
Why doesn't God just take fire away?
Coz there ain't a god to intervene?

Too obvious.

I came across this one the other day...

But, as it's from rense.com, I take it with a pinch-of-salt.
Then again, who knows ?

'Realism is seductive because once you have accepted the reasonable
notion that you should base your actions on reality, you are too often
led to accept, without much questioning, someone else's version of what
that reality is. It is a crucial act of independent thinking to be
skeptical of someone else's description of reality.'-

Bush is far enough out of touch with reality that if he hasn't thought
of this yet, then no one should accuse him of it, because he'd think
it's a good idea.
