Ouch.
A great lesson I once learned when I was 12. Do not operate a
soldering iron while wearing pyjamas with a button fly.

When changing a two month old baby boy's nappy, do not assume that
because he has just wet the nappy, that he has finished peeing.
....And don't think that because he didn't get you the first time, that
you are out of range.

Another lesson I learned in my early 30s. Do not, I repeat do NOT, deep fry
ANYTHING while wearing a two-piece bathing suit.

It did. It also hurt having to try and get him to the hospital, both my dad
and I were bigger than he was, yet it took both of us to handle him. He ended
up with one hell of a scar from above the left eye to below the right eye,
crossing the bridge of the nose.
But as he said, at least he hadn't been pretty before the accident either.
