recovered after a papal kiss. Even a cardinal who regained his ability
to speak after John Paul touched his throat.
Italian newspapers have been rife with reports of alleged miracles
attributed to Pope John Paul II, fueling speculation he may soon be
put on the path to sainthood.

If JP2 could enable a cardinal to speak after touching his throat how
come he could not cure him own loss of voice to anything more than a
few grunts?
How long to sainthood? Any bets?
My guess is 10 years.
