Object: In the News: Christian dinosaur hunters dig for signs of Biblical dragons
From the article:
----------------------------------------------------
Countless dinosaur bones lie buried in the rocks of South Dakota but
the Christians excavating one remote cliff-face were digging not just
for reptilian vertebrae but for the hand of God.
With screwdrivers, hammers and shaving brushes for tools, the group
was seeking and, as far as it was concerned, unearthed proof that the
animals perished not millions of years ago but in Noah's Flood circa
2300 BC.
To these believers in the Bible's literal truth, they are not
dinosaurs but "missionary lizards", which are powerful weapons in the
battle for young American hearts and minds.

Dorks! So I suppose their logic will be:
A. We found a fossil dinosaur bone.
B. Therefore, dinosaurs died out 4204 years ago after the Flood
C. The Bible is right, and evilution is wrong.
D. The scientific community will look at our evidence, shake their heads,
and claim we are off our rocker, which proves we are right, and
E. the evilutionists will go to Hell, praise the Lawd!

I particularly like the way that the first 4 letters of the word evilution
come out.
Also, I have heard, on tv, Duane Gish explain his theory of fossils and the
flood. It is certainly as funny as anything that I have ever heard. He said
it with a straight face. He was so convincing that I can't really be sure
that he was joking.

There ought to be a word for that; misspelling or
miscapitalizing a word in some lame attempt at disparagement.
"DemocRAT", for instance.

I wonder if he did it on purpose, in some sort of foolish, warped sense of
humor. More likely, he doesn't know the real word, and he truly believes
that this is the correct spelling. A true believer!
I think that you are right. There is probably a word for such word

Why no carbon dating?

Because carbon dating is based on faulty evolutionist assumptions!
Plus they keep saying that biblical dating is incorrect, so they MUST
be faulty! The Bible is the Inerrant Word Of God!!! *froth*

Their method of proof is interesting.
This is a dead dinosaur.
It died in the Flood.
This proves that dinosaurs are extinct.
Being extinct, they could not have evolved.
Therefore, evolution is a bunch of hooey.

Why no carbon dating?

*IF* they found a scrap of unaltered dino bone and radio-carbon dated it,
and assuming it was not contaminated (good luck on it with *that* lot of
morons collecting samples!), I would bet that the "age" they find would be
along the order of 30,000 -50,000 years old, and the quacks will claim that
RC dating is wildly inaccurate because scientists claim that dinosaurs all
died out 65 million years ago.
Do you see the flaw in their hypothetical "logic"?

From the article:
----------------------------------------------------
Countless dinosaur bones lie buried in the rocks of South Dakota but
the Christians excavating one remote cliff-face were digging not just
for reptilian vertebrae but for the hand of God.

With screwdrivers, hammers and shaving brushes for tools, the group
was seeking and, as far as it was concerned, unearthed proof that the
animals perished not millions of years ago but in Noah's Flood circa
2300 BC.

Somehow, the article seemed to have totally missed giving any evidence that
the dinosaurs died only a few thousand years ago, or that the fossils were
all deposited in a single great flood. I wonder why that is.

One small mercy: the article doesn't reveal that these creationist
loons are Minnesotans, leaders of the Twin Cities Creation Science
Association <http://www.tccsa.tc/>, based near Minneapolis. From the
article, you'd think they were all crazy Dakotans.
It also neglects to mention that TCCSA organizes 'safaris' to the
primitive Canadian wilderness, where they search for Manipogo, a
plesiosaur rumored to dwell in Manitoba.

It just goes to show that it is much easier, it takes less effort, and it
takes less thought, to be an mindless idiot. I believe that these guys are
sincere in their efforts. They are idiots, nevertheless.

Boldest of all is a trend for believers, young and old, to dig for
fossils and dinosaur remains as witness to God's handiwork.
Isn't that how the whole ancient earth/evolution idea got started in the
