In the News: Group backs Dover board on biology theory |
From the article:
--------------------------------------
Citizens appear at school meeting to show support, present petition opposing
ACLU
By CHRISTINA KAUFFMAN The York Dispatch
A citizens group emerged last night in favor of the Dover Area School Board in
the debate over intelligent design in the district's high school.
Dover Township resident Gina Myers, spokeswoman for the recently organized
"Citizens For An Intelligent Choice," said she used a public comment period
during a board meeting to announce that she and other members of the group
support the board's decision to include a statement about the theory of
intelligent design in the biology curriculum.
"I just feel that children should have the option of knowing there are other
scientific theories other than the theory of evolution," she said. "Even
Darwinists admit there are gaps and problems (with scientist Charles Darwin's
theory of evolution)."

Well, since science isn't a democracy, I'm not sure why anyone should
CARE what these idiots think. <shrug>

The Wedgies are twisting and turning to get these guys to see that
there isn't a scientific theory of ID to teach at this time, but you
still have guys like this. Maybe the other scientific theories that
they are talking about are ones like atomic theory. Atoms are
discussed in biology, but mostly in chemistry. Where are these guys
getting the scientific theory of intelligent design? Who told them
that it was a scientific theory? Why do they believe them? Guys like
Santorum aren't telling them that ID has a scientific theory. Santorum
is one of the Wedgies that is advocating the teach the controversy
scam. ID is only used as a smoke screen to make it look like the teach
the controversy scam is legitimate. There is no actual ID in the teach
the controversy scam. You didn't see Santorum claim that he was glad
that the Dover board rubes wanted to actually teach ID. The Discovery
Institute called the Dover board "confused." They admitted that the
Dover board had consulted them, but that the Discovery Institute did
not support teaching ID at this time.
The members of this group should get their act together. They still
believe the ID creationist propaganda from 10 years ago. They
obviously haven't been listening to the IDiots since Ohio and they
didn't listen to what the IDiots said about Dover. When the guys that
perpetrated the ID scam on you, are telling you that they no longer
support teaching it in the public schools, why don't these guys believe
them? It isn't like a totally different group is telling them not to
teach ID. It is the guys that misinformed them that it could be taught
in the first place. How ignorant or incompetent can you possibly be?

Remember - we're talking about people who think that Creationism is
true - we're talking ignorance in Biblical proportions.

Well, of course children should know about alternative scientific
theories to evolution. Perhaps these folks are willing to rush in where
their mentors at the Discovery Institute etc. fear to tread and actually

Perhaps the will be eager to tell us more about themselves, such as -
o average number of years spent studying biology after highschool
o average number of peer-reviewed papers published on topics related
to evolution
o percentage of group named "Steve"
o percentage of group associated with each of
- YEC
- OEC
- Raelism
- none of the above
Just curious... as if I couldn't guess.
