Third (sometimes second) strongest political party in the nation :-) Commies
will always be here in the Czech Republic, unless banned, or unless
capitalism can somehow come up with full employment paying decent living
wage to all who can work, similar benefits to those who can't and a great
range of social programs for everyone. Of course it's a dream that even
commies could never deliver, but considering the present rotten state of the
Czech capitalism, there will always be those disenfranchised 15-30% of the
population who will vote for KSCM.

OK. The purpose of what's on an election poster/placard or any other
sales poster is to catch some viewers attention and sell the product!
So how is a bare breasted girl a selling point for the platform of
the communist party?
An emaciated starveling reaching up to pluck fruit, or even a healthy
pioneer youth plucking fruit, or a child with a bowl of cherries,
might be trying to show some association to prosperity.
But a bare breasted girl?? What kind of association or emotion is
being encouraged?
It's not that a sight of a frisky beauty offends me. Far from it.
But I have my doubts of the image as a political message.
Also in the USA 'Cherry' has additional connotations.
Somewhat as perhaps the British connotations on 'peach'
e.g. in T.S. Elliots poem "Do I dare to eat a peach?"

Nah, good long consonant clusters are fun and we still have
plenty of vowels to get rid of. More recently (i.e. last several
hundreds of years) we have been using "r" and "l" as vowels
so you see we can supply all the neighbours in the Central
Europe with tonnes of "aeiou" as well as "y"s.

Czech communists use erotica to attract electors
The Communist Party of Czech republic and Moravia (KSCM) has another
member - Richard Knot, the editor of erotic magazine NEI. Left
factions started using the methods, which were not typical for
communists before in their pre-election campaign. There are posters all
over the Czech republic, depicting a topless girl that is trying to
climb a cherry-tree (the symbol of Czech communists). The motto on
those posters says: "The fruits of KCSM's work for all Czech
citizens!" Regular elections to the parliament of the Czech republic
will take place on June 14-15. Twenty-eight political parties and
movements will participate in the elections this year. According to
opinion polls, KSCM is one of the four favorites of the pre-election
race.
