to stop projectiles or was not certified to level III standard even though
the body armor bore certification labels that it did meet those standards.
Sounds to me like Uncle Sam is holding manufacturer accountable and that any
politics is coming from the vendor.

Almost everything in the military is political.
Too many people are supporting dragon skin, why would the CIA and FBI
use it if it failed to stop projectiles.
I do not trust the chuckle heads in the military that claim to have
tested it.
