Nixon Did It in Vietnam. Bush Will Do It in Iraq

On June 8, 1969, President Richard M. Nixon announced the withdrawal of
25,000 American troops from Vietnam. Within the next few months, he
would declare that tens of thousands more were coming home. "He was
reluctant to withdraw," says John Mueller, a political scientist at
Ohio State University and the author of several books on war and public
opinion, "but he kept being pushed by politics."

NYTimes? No surprise there. What do you expect them to say? Do you
actually expect them to be fair and balanced?

Hey, when they quote the Templeton Foundation as saying,
"There's no science there," life is *good*!

No, I expect them to publish hawkish propaganda for the Bush regime.

Only those with the most shallow, superficial kind of faith are unable to
imagine that a Supreme Being might be smart enough to work Its 'intelligent
design' through the mechanism of evolution (or any other area of science,
for that matter). The most orthodox simply project their own ignorance onto
the image of god they have created.
