Interesting "Anti-women Christian Oppression" |
Here's an interesting inbound email from some time ago; someone
claiming to be a female who's got zero problem with being oppressed
and subjecated by Christian men since she thinks the Christian
mythologies some how justify it.

In regards to your article on "Anti-women christian oppression",
I just wanted to say a few things to share my beliefs, but I do not want
anyone to take this offensively. I am a Christian who converted from
Mormonism about 4 months ago. The two show many characteristics alike but
they are no where near the same. Mormons like to call themselves
Christians
and they posses many of the traits but they however are not worshipping the
same god as Christians are. They believe He is three SEPERATE beings, thus
being in acctuality, three gods. Christians believe in ONE god, but like
water (ice, water, and gas) That one God consists of three things, the
Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, thus making the Holy Trinity.
On the point of Anti-women christian oppression. Mormons and Christians
are "bible believing" peoples, they both believe the bible to be the word
of God (however mormons have another book they believe in, also proving
again they worship more then one). As a Christian when I sit down each day
to study my bible, I start by having a prayer, getting my mind right and
focused, and THEN I dive in. Because the bible is not just any old book
that you can just pick up and read you must be in the correct mind-set to
understand and interpret it through God's eyes. In the bible it clearly
states this...
--> Genenis 3:16- "I will greatly increase you pains in childbearing;
with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your
husband, and he will rule over you."
This passage may sound a little harsh for the unGodly ear, but there is
another example of men being of "authority" to women in...
--> 1 Timothy 2:11-15 A women should learn in quietness and full
submission. 12. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over
a man; she must be silent. 13.For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14And
Adam was not the one decieved; it was the woman who was decieved and became
a sinner. 15 But women will be saved through childbearing---if they
continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.
It means alot to me to be able to be the one bringing new life into the
world, in another verse (i dont know what the sight is but here is some)
"The women is to submit to her husband" but after that it states (i dont
want to quote this because im not sure of the exact words) that the husband
must also love and respect his wife, and support her and his family. So
when a man and women decide to marry eachother the women is submitting to
him and she promises she will always stand behind him and let him have
authority, but the man also must make a promise and that is to provide for
the women and always love and respect her as his wife. You have to look at
it from both sides. They both have important roles in the relationship.
That is not oppression, that is perfect harmony.
And here is a verse that says straight up why Christians are against
homosexuality...
--->Leviticus 18:22 Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is
detestable.
If it says it in the bible, Christians believe it because we believe the
bible to be the true word of God. If it says not to do it then we believe
it is wrong, because it God who created us says "This is wrong". It's
wrong.
The people with the opinions on what is right or wrong did not create the
heavens and the earth, they did not create people as we know them. They
have their opinions but they are meaningless when compared to the word of
God. I respect your opinions however and I have the right to voice mine as
I am doing, but what God says is not opinion it is truth. He created us, He
knows how we work. He knows that humans were not designed and not created
to have sexual relations with the same sex. All of those feelings you feel
if you are gay are simply satan's words being wispered in your ears. Satan
is loving what America is doing to itself. This country was started in God
and now satan is quickly snaking his way in just as he did in the garden of
Eden. He enjoys every minute of these thoughts and silly squabbles we have
over what is right and what is not right. Satan wants to take us all the
Hell in the end and much of this country is not remembering what values,
standards, and tremendous love and hard work started this country. It was
God who blessed us with this wonderful land, and he can take it away with
the blink of an eye if we do not recognize, He is God.
Thank you for reading and listening to my opinion, again I didnt mean
this in a defensive sense. I was simply stating what I know to be true.

Cult victims usually collkaborate with and defend their abusers. It
is not logical; it is not rational.
