Interesting NarCONon email |
This came in, probably after the author read something over on
http://www.crackpots.org/
I believe I'll respond to this one though I normally don't any
more given the mental condition of so many people who fall for
the Scientoloft scam.
It's interesting that the mentality and logic fallacies contained
within are a mirror immage to so many other scams and frauds out
there in the real world.

One should judge performance by statistics. Narconon statistics for
permanently rehabilitating drug addicts (not only street drugs, but
legalized drugs as well), are some of the best statistics known. I don't
know where you got the data to write such an article; I can only presume
that you got it from a source that has vested interest in keeping man
drugged. Maybe you should do further research. What have you done to help
people on this planet other than to spread lies and misinform people of the
truth? Narconon is succeeding and will continue to expand, and the reason
they will continue to expand is because it works. The general public no
matter how much it is lied to by those who do not want them to know the
truth will eventually turn because the truth will always prevail.

Their "mental condition" is generally merely ignorance:
Scientology customers are not allowed to think their own thoughts
or to examine information that has not been given to them by their
masters. Ignorance is the default condition for all human beings.
It's interesting that the mentality and logic fallacies contained

But of course. Your corrospondant could just as well use the same
"arguments" in his e-mail to support astrology, palmistry, tarot
card reading, Chiropractic, phrenolgy, etc. The scam is the same,
regardless of what fraudulent practice is being sold.
NarConon (i.e., Scientology Inc.) does not allow professional
people to study NarConon for the same reason a card shark does not
allow his marks to study Three Card Monte---- and they both sure
as hell *HATE* people like you warning potential victims.
Thge Michigan penal system found that NarConon did worse than
doing nothing at all in curbing drug addiction in prison. This
study falls far short of your corrospondent's claim that the
criticism of Scientology's front business NarConon is generated by
people who have a vested interest in keeping addicts addicted.
As for "helping people on this planet," perhaps you could ask your
corrospondent how many people on OTHER PLANETS he has helped
lately.
