INTERNATIONAL ATHEISTS CONVENTION |
He will commemorate the assassination of Giordano Bruno,
denounce de crimes of the Vatican and request the termination of the Accords
of Latran.
Rome, December 2004 - From the 10 to the 13 December 2004, the International
Atheists Convention will be held in Rome to close the "International Year of
Atheism" launched a year earlier by Rael spiritual leader of the Raelians.
On this occasion all the atheists are invited to participate to the
gathering, to be held precisely on the town square where Giordano Bruno was
burnt at the stakes on order of the Vatican. Some flowers will be deposited
in front of his statue by representatives of the Raelian Movement, which is
the world largest organization proselytizing atheism.
A press conference on this subject will be given Tuesday December 7 by RAEL
himself.
Let us recall that Giordano Bruno was not only speaking of extraterrestrial
life but also of the infinity of time and space.
The cardinal Bellarmin who initiated the trials of Giordano Bruno and of
Galileo was canonized in 1930. for obvious political reasons in line with
the time: that is only a year after the "Duce" Benito Mussolini, signatory
of the "Patti Lateranensi" concordat, had offered to the Pope, through the
"Accords of Latran", a full and definite sovereignty over the State of the
Vatican. This canonization also occurred in reaction to the erection in Rome
of the statue of Giordano Bruno by the Freemasons.
Although the Church had rehabilitated, after many centuries of thoughtful
consideration, other philosophers such as Galileo, Jan Hus and Savonarole,
it did not yet find the courage to recognize its guilt in the assassination
of Giordano Bruno, one of the greatest anti-establishment minds of his time.
The Raelian solemnly ask the Pope of the Roman Catholic religion to:
- ask forgiveness, in the name of his Church for the assassination of
Giordano Bruno, burnt at the stakes,
- prove to the world the repentance of his Church is not hypocrite, by
accepting to "uncanonize" the cardinal Robert Bellarmin. the one who
supervised the trials of Galileo and Giordano Bruno, and who was canonized
in 1930.
This day of commemoration will also be dedicated to spreading the raelian
philosophy, to apostatize the Catholic religion and collect signatures for a
petition asking to set up a referendum in Italy in order to cancel the
"Accords of Latran" signed in 1929 between Mussolini, head of the Italian
government and representatives of the Vatican.
We ask for the restitution of the Vatican's territories to the Italian
people and the nationalization of the treasures and buildings of the
Vatican, given illegally and unilaterally without consultation with the
Italian people. Nationalization also as to the Vatican's bank so implicated
in financial scandals.
The Vatican is a State with a record level of criminality: scandal of the
Ambrosiano bank and frauds organized by the bishop Marcinkus, chief of the
Vatican bank; assassination of the homosexual, gentleman of the Pope, Enrico
Sensi, of the colonel of the Swiss guards Esrermann and of his spouse, of
Cedric Tornay; suspicion of assassination of the Pope Jean-Paul 1st in 1978.
It is inadmissible that in the center of Europe and with the complicity of
Italy, that there is a country with a dictatorial regime non-democratic with
a chief of government, the Pope, elected for life. That would not be
accepted in any other European country and if an African country or other
adopted such a regime, it would scandalize the world.
There is truly, because of the "Accords of Latran" and on part of the
Italian territory, illegally given by Mussolini, a non-democratic
dictatorship, where the dictator has unlimited powers, where there are no
separation between the Church and the State and that does not respect the
"Human Rights".
Rael, spiritual leader of the Raelians will give a press conference
Tuesday December 7 at 3 pm, at the Hotel Excedra.. ROME
