Since 1991, when the Israelis backed down in the face of SCUD missiles, the
Islamic world is feeling confident. Did someone say "Madagascar "?

If the West fails to peacefully remove the "Zionist entity" from the Middle
East, the "Palestinians" and their Islamic allies will do so through violent
fury, warned Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at a mass demonstration

It is time we quit letting political grandstanding make important decisions
that could cause much unnecessary destruction and loss of lives.
I submit that it is not critical or crucial whether Iran has or does no have
a few nuclear weapons the same as many other countries around the world.
The United States has over 2,000 advanced nuclear weapons and a massive and
long range delivery system. Israel has over 200 nuclear weapons with a large
and capable delivery system.
Because of Iran's size and capability, it is unlikely to produce more than a
hand full nuclear weapons with an equally limited delivery capability. It is
totally incapable of matching the offensive power of Israel and the United
States.
Iran is building or trying to build nuclear weapons either to defend itself
from Israeli attack and /or to provide itself the ability to attack and
destroy Israel.
The United States, its NATO partners and Israel should jointly state that
they will destroy Iran with their nuclear arsenal if Iran uses ANY nuclear
weapon in any aggressive non defensive manner against any other country. It
is even likely that China, Russia and the UN would join this coalition.
This effectively check mates Iran's potential threat and avoids the need for
any costly war against Iran. It is even likely that, under these
circumstances, Iran would abandon a very expensive nuclear program.

The problem is not whether Iran is a direct military threat -- of course
they aren't. Do you think you are speaking to children?
The problem is giving terrorists control of nuclear weapons.
One bomb going off is too many at this point. There is no question that
Iran could be turned into radioactive slag by any of several countries.
But no one wants to have to do it, and if you give terrorists control of
nukes they are going to want to use them.
