Iraq Lawmakers Want US OUT OF IRAQ (NeoCons=Treason) |
Neocons: the ultimate unwanted houseguest.
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/05/09/iraqis-call-for-timetable/
On Tuesday, without note in the U.S. media, more than half of the
members of Iraq’s parliament rejected the continuing occupation of
their country. 144 lawmakers signed onto a legislative petition
calling on the United States to set a timetable for withdrawal,
according to Nassar Al-Rubaie, a spokesman for the Al Sadr movement,
the nationalist Shia group that sponsored the petition.

Shias - those are the people we helped by eliminating the Sunni
government of Hussein, yes?
The more things change, the more they remain the same. Or maybe
Santayana is a bit more appropriate.

al-Sadr, that's the fellow who is supported by Iran.
And the Iraqi take on this petition is that it will never make it to
actual legislation. It's all show and no go, just like American
Democrats.

Or maybe you're still as gullible as a three-year-old.

It seems that Iran is support lots of people in Iraq. Every day that
we stay there we are weakened and they are strengthened. But what does
it matter who supports al-Sadr? He controls votes in their parliament
and he has support of lots of people. If Iraq has law against foreign
contributions, fine, but if not then that is how the world works.
And the Iraqi take on this petition is that it will never make it to

Democrats.
Keep telling yourself that.

Wasn't Cheney just claiming again that we were turning a corner,
making real progress? And aren't those "senior officials" under the
command of the puppet al-Maliki?
