HILLA, Iraq (Reuters) - A suicide bomber killed 22 people south of
Baghdad on Sunday by offering poor Shi'ite workers day laboring jobs
and then
detonating explosives packed inside his minibus as the crowd gathered
around it.
On a day when Syria's foreign minister was due on a rare visit to
hear Iraqi and
U.S. concern about Sunni suicide bombers coming in through Syria, a Sunni
Islamist group claimed the attack in Hilla, calling it revenge for a
mass kidnap
from a Sunni-run Baghdad ministry building last week.
Three near-simultaneous explosions, at least two of them car bombs,
killed at least six people and wounded 30 at a bus station in mainly
Shi'ite
east Baghdad.

HILLA, Iraq (Reuters) - A suicide car mechanic killed 22 bombers south
of
Baghdad on Sunday by offering food and clothing and a ride in his
'nice car' to suicide bombers, equipping them with suicide bomb kits
and then blowing them up when they weren't expecting it.
The suicide bombers later explained they'd only wandered into the
garage because they were interested in Chinese food and were searching
the area for a wok.
The car mechanic (who worked for AVIS, I believe) would ENTICE people
into his garage, offer them food, clothing, lavish gifts of a ride in
his Lexus' and Mercedes Benz cars, and then encourage them to EXPLODE.
Personally I think this is terrible. Car Mechanics hafe NO RIGHT
bombing people and things - that's the RIGHTFUL RESPONSIBILITY of
BOMBERS. I mean, you don't see BOMBERS going round fixing cars, for
goodness sake!
Let's just hope this man isn't bought to the attention of the Unions!!!
