After all, we are at war.
We have a serious problem with people who are willing to commit very
violent crimes. Calling it a war confuses the issue and creates hatred
of our troops in places they shouldn't be. Remember that Saddam was
quite strongly opposed to religious reactionaries like bin Laden. Bush
found a way to unite Arabs against us.
So should we be on the lookout for Mormuns? Catholics? Atheists?

It's not a war. Anti-Western Moslem fanatics have attacked in the United
States, but so have people of various Christian sects for religious
reasons. Will you declare war on all Christians? Automobiles kill as
many people every three weeks as these fanatics did on 9/11 but you
didn't declare war on cars. Why not?
