OK, so I can't debate some of your points.
But, the economy is not *that* bad, as bad as you would have us believe.

OK, so I can't debate some of your points.

Look, at this point being a conservative and being a Republican are
two completely different things. Non-defense spending has gone up
faster under Bush than under Clinton.

But, the economy is not *that* bad, as bad as you would have us believe.

No, it's merely far worse than what AWOL woudl have you believe, it is
his own estiamtes, not mine that his policies would lead to an average
of 300.000 job gains a month.

Coke snorting? So he had a white nose once or twice. And Clinton 'didn't'

You're right, but since Bush ran on a "bringing honor and dignity back
to the White House" platform, it is only fair that he gets hoisted by
his own petard.

And Medicare is not in that bad a state, ATC.

No, it's only worse now. Everything Bush touches turns to *****.

First part is accurate. I never said I was a Republican!
Second point, I don't know and can't debate. Could very well be, but since
Clinton was a spender, if Bush *is* worse, whew...

But, the economy is not *that* bad, as bad as you would have us believe.

First point, true. I live in an Historically repressed area, when the
country does great, we do so-so. We aren't *quite* so-so right now.
Definitely *need* tose 300,000 a month right now, and, no, I don't see it.

Coke snorting? So he had a white nose once or twice. And Clinton

You know, I was *never* imporessed by Bush, and still am not! So, I don't
pay a great deal of attention to him, and I *was* hoping the Democrats
would pick a candidate I could get behind (Sorry, Yang, I'm from mass,
Kerry ain't it!)
Did he ever *admit* to 'Christams in July' ;)
It would seem to me, and this applies to *all*, that if he *did* and he
admitted it, I could excuse that. As I said, at this point, non0users are
the exception...

And Medicare is not in that bad a state, ATC.

No, it's only worse now. Everything Bush touches turns to *****.

Have to disagree. My Mom's on it and she gets *great* care!
Thank you, Yang, *sincerely* ! An actual debate! I knew you're no dummy!
You had me worried there...I didn't think you had a heart.
Having no brain I can deal with, having no heart is the worst. You can't
reason with someone with out a heart.

Clinton was a spender, if Bush *is* worse, whew...

One cite for this comes from Robert Barro of Businessweek*, who is an
University of Chicago conservative- hardly a Clinton apologist.
* (Economic Viewpoint, Dec. 15, 2003),

No, it's merely far worse than what AWOL woudl have you believe, it is

Definitely *need* tose 300,000 a month right now, and, no, I don't see it.

The macro arithmatics are straightforward. Roughly 150K people enter
into the workforce every month for teh first time. So you need 150K
just to keep employment-to-population ratio constant. You need 300 to
make sure that employment-to-population ratio improves.

You're right, but since Bush ran on a "bringing honor and dignity back

The macro arithmatics are straightforward. Roughly 150K people enter

into the workforce every month for teh first time. So you need 150K
just to keep employment-to-population ratio constant. You need 300 to
make sure that employment-to-population ratio improves.

In an economy such as the United States has become, I don't know if 300K
is doable.
A great deal of goods manufacturing has gone off shore for two reasons:
Americans want price points, and Americans want good wages. The two are
mutually exclusive. If you want Real Money for the job you perform, then
you have to be prepared, basically, to pay yourself. We aren't willing to
do that.
In my lifetime, different groups have stepped up to this plate, in my
lifetime it was the Taiwanese, the Japanese, the Koreans and now the
Chinese and the Indians. But, there is a caveat: as each new player steps
forward, at first the goods are cheap, both in price and quality. Then, as
they get the hang of manufacturing, the quality increases, but since their
monetery system is still comparatively devalued, the prices stay low. My
first car, a brand new Toyota Corolla, was a steal when compared to a
Domestic or European model of similar quality. But look at what has
happened to Toyota. As the monentry system catches up, and more and more
people buy their goods, their currency isn't quite so cheap. Example, when
I bought that Toyota, the dollar was worth 422 Yen, in 1974. Now it hovers
about 100. So Japanese goods aren't quite the bargain they were.
The same is now happeneing with the Koreans and the Taiwanese. And in a
few years, China will catch up, too, although being a Communist counrty,
there may not be the wage pressure like in the examples of the Japanese or
the Koreans.
I doubt Americans will be wiling to pay the prices required to affors to
pay Americans the wages they are seeking. So, we lok to ways other than
manufacturing to make our money, which is services.
Remember the British in the 70's? We took their manufacturing base away
from them and they became a 'service' society. Well, once the service
sector gets saturated, you have to find a niche, or flounder.
America had that niche in the Computer sector, and with data and
inforamtion services. But the Indians turned out to be pretty adept at
learning these services, so now, one of *my* favourite jobs, Helpdesk, has
moved there. *Lots* of unemployed Info system workers now. I used to get
called from Boston, Hartford, and points even further away to take one or
two day contract jobs within 150 miles of home, and get paid at about $30
working as part of a team, or $50 for other skills. Last time I got a call
like that was almost a year ago, because there are so many info tech
workers out of work, they don't need to go long distance anymore. And my
home area is saturated, because info systems was going to be the Next Big
Thing and tech schools and colleges cranked them out in droves.
So, until we are ready to pay the price, I don't think we'll see full
employment again for a while, or wages will take a Big hit!

You're right, but since Bush ran on a "bringing honor and dignity back
to the White House" platform, it is only fair that he gets hoisted by
his own petard.

You know, I was *never* imporessed by Bush, and still am not! So, I don't

I haven't found one yet. McCain was my choice in the last election, a
moderate Conservative. Perot before that. He probably would have been a
good "Home" president, but I think his Foreign policy would have sucked.
Dean was actually my choice this time around! I worked in Vermont for a
while, and I liked what I saw had happened up there. Also, except for that
first Gaff (EEEEEEyahhhhhhh!!!!) he seemed pretty unflappable.
He didn't get it, obviously (so you see, being a Liberal doesn't bother
me, just being a Flake does!)
No, not this time 'round, again...

Thank you, Yang, *sincerely* ! An actual debate! I knew you're no dummy!

Yeah, man, it happens and we are all guilty of it! And I don't need shots
at your Mom (she raised a bright boy), your dog(I love dogs), or your Lego
set (I love them, but not enough of an Artist to use one...BTW, I live
near the Lego plant in Ct....ever seen what *they* can do with them?)
I'll save *my* 'cheap shots' for when I *totally* disagree with something
you say. But I won't ever be calling you Yin again...
But, as I said, you show intelligence *and* a heart. I can deal with that!
Ask peeance: I made a truce with him, too.
Thanks for showing me who you *really* are. I appreciate it. You seemed
too smart to be that mean spirited.

difference between great care and being cared for by great people.

If she switches docs or gets put in a new hospital, after 5:00 pm or on a

till the next working day if you can't show her records.
Existing scripts don't count.
Spend an hour at almost any busy pharmacy and you will see people walking
away from prescriptions or just takeing a few because of the cost.
Insurance companies, of course, pay a *lot* less for the same prescription.

I own my house, so I don't look too much at Real Estate, etc.
Imagine my surprise when I took a look and saw that a 1 br apartment in
